  1. No problemo, I'll keep your number on hand just in case.
  2. Tough call with that wonderful pic you took but based on the scales on the cheek appearing to be smaller than the body scales, and the base of the jaw not extending past the eye, I'd say it's a spot. http://mdc.mo.gov/fishing/fish-catch/fish-id/bass-identification
  3. Fished lake Ann this morning with one of my fishing buddies. It was slow for us, 3 bass total in the boat. A couple on worms dragged through deep brush piles, and one off a deep bluff wall. Very light bites. I thought the cooler weather we've had lately would get them going, but not today for us.
  4. You got me stumped as to why all commodities don't have minimum pricing, maybe it's only feasible in "must have" commodities such as oil. Maybe it's explained in that doc - I only read the first couple of pages, really don't want to read any more.
  5. Found this document, let's see if I can attach it. First couple of pages explain the rational behind selling gas below cost. Not specific to MO BTW. 10.1.1.172.80301.pdf
  6. I disagree with you Eric, I think the law was created to protect small operators from being stomped on by companies like the Big W.
  7. My guess is the gas-low-price setting law is a legislative attempt to keep a really big retailer from setting prices ridiculously low in order to put the small owners out of business. Then once the little guys are gone, you're stuck with the big boy and whatever price it wants to set.
  8. In another 2 years that bass will be able to walk into a bar and legally order a drink.
  9. Went out yesterday evening, stayed until 10 PM. It was slow, caught 3 12-15 inch bass on the OL' Monster. Lots of bream messing with the worm, I nver have night fished for bream, but I bet a person could have caught a mess last night on crawlers.
  10. Welcome aboard! Do you do trailer repairs, mainly I'm thinking blown wheel bearings where a guy is stuck on the side of the road with a bad bearing. Assuming it happens in NW AR or SW MO.
  11. Nice fish rps, I tip my hat to anyone that can consistently catch walleye in mid-summer heat like we're having.
  12. One thing I like about the Nitro is they have that easily removable passenger console. I believe Phoenix has that also, Ranger and Basscat don't.

  14. CS, I'm researching the same boats you are. I'd say Basscat and Phoenix are my top 2 choices with Ranger being third. I'm looking in the 18 foot range also. Dealer is important to me, Waymack marine in Springdale sells Basscat and I have dealt with them in the past and they seem to have a solid rep. Next step for me is to get out and see these boats in person and talk to the folks at the dealerships.
  15. Who knows? The Corps acts in mysterious ways I did hear a couple of days ago that Beaver is losing more water to evaporation than is being let through the dam.
  16. BELLEVUE, Wash. — A state Fish and Wildlife officer says a cougar that was hit and killed on Interstate 405 in Bellevue is apparently the same one that killed a duck Saturday in a neighborhood in nearby Medina. Sgt. Kim Chandler says the cougar found dead Sunday night is an adult male. He says that's a little unusual because it's usually young cougars that get into trouble wandering into urban areas. Chandler says the cougar may have come out of the Cascades and might have been trying to go back when it was killed trying to cross the freeway. Wildlife officers searched for the cougar Saturday after the duck was killed. Chandler says it's apparently the same cougar that was sighted a week-and-a-half ago in the Woodinville area.
  17. I'm fortunate to live close to the community lakes here in Bella Vista, I can get out in the evening or early AM, fish for a few hours and come home. That being said, I haven't been motivated to go out the last few days, just too darned hot.
  18. Wow. some impressive weights, glad to hear you folks are getting into them.
  19. Good luck, have fun!
  20. I did, caught 5 LM, including this 24", estimated 7 lb. little piggy. Used a 10" Zoom OL' Monster t-rigged. Didn't expect to catch a big bass this time of year, got lucky. The bass bit really well from about 8 PM to 9:30 PM, then once it got fully dark they stopped and I went home.

  22. The "getting chased by bears" thing is not for me, lol.
  23. I love these bass boat discussions, lots of good info.
  24. Go this fish last night, using a 10" Black/blue fleck Zoom Ol' Monster. She taped out at about 24", didn't have a scale to weigh her, but I'm estimating around 7 lbs. Cast to a point that has a brush pile on it, let it drop, started to move the worm, felt something solid, at first thought I was hung up in the brush, but the snag began moving. She jumpee and cleared the water a couple of times, but got her in the boat, snapped a couple of pics, and let her go.
