Thought they were toast tonight, but what a comeback!
  2. Excellent!

    Royals!

Volquez had a little extra giddy-up on his fastball last night. I sure would like to see them win today and beat Price. Royals have problems with lefties and this game has me worried.

Yeah, Salvy has been a punching bag lately. I'm sure he wants to play out the string and win the Series this year, but I'll bet he'll be glad when the season is over.
  5. Welcome!
  6. I think you're right Ham, next time I'm out I will have the Ned stuff with me.
  7. Is the party an all day deal? Can you fish in the morning?
  8. I know this is hard to believe, but I did not throw the Whopper Plopper - fished a walk-the-dog lure for a top water. Not much top water stuff going on that day.
  9. Congrats - that's a bunch of goggles!
  10. Testing out adding pics from the gallery.
  11. As far as the gallery, if you set one up for me, can I add pictures from my gallery to a post I make? I tired to see if I could add pictures from your gallery to a post from me, but I there was no option to do so. It would be cool if we could upload pics to a gallery, then add them to a post. A forum I used to participate in had that option.

OK Cards fans, time to take off the red and put on some blue!
  13. We may have to stick with the 5th, as mentioned above, some folks may have set that date aside.
  14. It's good to be out again.
  15. Got to the launch at 0700, which is just at dawn this time of year. Air temp was at 44, and there I was wearing shorts. Fortunately things warmed up fairly quickly, and by 10 AM I felt like Lawrence of Arabia crossing the Sinai on a camel. Well, I was in a boat and not riding a camel, and it was Table Rock and not the Sinai. And my name is not Lawrence. But with that sun beating down on me and no wind, I was feeling like I was out in the desert. As far as the fishing, it was fair, caught 15 bass, mostly spots, nothing over 15". Most came on slowly dragging a 1/2 oz jig with 3/4 of a Structure Big as a trailer. Had a couple early on a top water. Water temp was 70-72.
  16. Yep, research the rps posts, some great info.

You Cards fans have my sympathy.
  18. I agree, could be a good weekend. Just a few more weeks until November which is one of my favorite fishing months.
  19. Nice fish, looks like a meanie to me also. Sometimes it is hard to tell based on pictures.

ESPN had a "30 for 30" episode about the Bartman incident, it's called "Catching Hell". Good episode if they run it again. Also, interesting that they blew up the ball: The loose ball was snatched up by a Chicago lawyer and sold at an auction in December 2003. It was purchased it for $113,824.16 on behalf of Harry Caray's Restaurant Group. On February 26, 2004, it was publicly detonated by special effects expert Michael Lantieri.[18][19] In 2005, the remains of the ball were used by the restaurant in a pasta sauce. While no part of the ball itself was in the sauce, the ball was boiled and the steam captured, distilled, and added to the final concoction.[20]

One of you Cards fans should buy this guy a ticket for the next game.
  22. Check and see if Alex is going to fish it - if he is, ya'll should just stay home. My guess is it will take an 8 lb. fish or better to win. A big mama full of eggs.

Home run derby for the Cubs.

    Royals

Down 4 runs going into the 8th, I thought their season was done. What a comeback! Coming back to KC for game 5.
