  1. Well I was hoping for an upset, but the Tide was on their game.
  2. Please don't post this kind of info, unfortunately there's an Academy down the road from me.
  3. Might work well on a split shot rig or light T-rig. I like GY Senkos, just wish they were more durable.
  4. Looks Like Oregon is in after their stomping of Arizona.
  5. Muddy - you staying Thursday through Saturday nights?
  6. Did you get a "free" T-shirt?
  7. Nice mess of crappie!
  8. Elaztech all the way!
  9. Ok, add Griz to the Friday night crew. I think that place we stayed in last years had 4 bedrooms, and I stayed on the futon in the den. Might be room for one in the living room. I'll talk to the folks at Riley's Monday.
  10. I could have fun catching a mess of gills like that. Table Rock has them, you just have to wade through all the little ones.
  11. I hear you, I plan to stay for the fry and then decide if I'm going to drive back.
  12. Weather is looking about as good as could be hoped for in mid-December. Highs in the 50's. Lows in upper 30's.
  13. That's a good day. Just picked up some Loctite gel yesterday, need to make up some more Ned rigs.
  14. OK, here's what I have, please review and let me know if this is correct. Also - Riley's does not accept credit cards as payment. Cash or checks. Once you guys confirm this I'll call Riley's to let them know how many each night. Thursday night - Myself, Phil, SIO3, Ducky Friday night - Myself, Little Red, Terrierman and Grandson, SIO3, Gotmuddy. Saturday - Little Red, Terrierman and Grandson, GotMuddy. I may or may not stay that night.
  15. I didn't try the Wart, I thought about it later in the morning when the wind kicked up a bit, but I have a lot of fun catching bass on the Ned rig with light spinning tackle. Hard to put it down when they are biting it.
  16. I'd love to see Mizzou make the final 4 with a win over Bama, and I think they would deserve it as SEC champ. But I agree with you all that it probably won't happen. It will be very interesting to see what the committee does if Mizzou wins. I think there is pretty much general agreement among the college FB analysts that the SEC is the strongest conference in the nation, if Mizzou wins, it will be interesting to see how they can finagle an SEC team into the final 4. It's funny how this four team playoff which was supposed to lessen the controversy seems to be creating even more.
  17. Found a pretty good "Ned" bite back in the coves, mainly around secondary point structure. Mostly largemouth back in the coves, and good average size, 14-16" fish. Most were fairly shallow, 3-10 FOW. Cloud cover seemed to have really helped the bite. Tried a jerk bait for a few minutes, no bites. What sold me on the Ned was I came back to a point I had fished the jerk bait on without a bite, threw the Ned on that point and caught 3 bass. Caught some fish out on main lake points, those tended to be K's. Did also get a couple of 12" smallies, and a keeper meanmouth that ate a jig in 30 FOW. Got 15 bass into the boat and probably had an equal amount that managed to get off before making the boat. Water temp 49-50.
  18. BTW, I did not mean to imply that I though Bowe was a great receiver. Just that his stats have suffered under Smith.
  19. And another excuse I hear for Smith not being able to get the ball downfield is that "he doesn't have any capable WR's". But looking at Dwayne Bowe's stats, his worst year as far as yards receiving was last year (except for 2009 when he played in only 11 games). This year he is on a pace for his 2nd worst year as far as yardage. What a coincidence that his QB in these two years is Smith.
  20. I just stated a truth, that he can't complete a pass over 20 yards. It was a windy night and it's tough for either QB to look good. But I think you could safely say that just about any KC fan would gladly trade Smith for Manning in a straight up trade. Smith's numbers aren't that good overall, which is the real bottom line. According to this comparison he's ranked 23rd in the NFL.http://espn.go.com/nfl/qbr If you look at yardage alone he is 21st. So I guess if you think a QB that is ranked around the 20 mark in the NFL isn't "That bad overall", that's fine with me. But I'd say he is just average at best.
  21. Well you can be in the top 10 if you hardly ever throw the ball over 20 yards - percentage means nothing. And Rodgers was hurt and missed 6 or 7 games last year. But comparing Rodgers and Smith for stats so far this year, I see Smith at 6.8 yards/attempt, Rodgers 10.1. Smith 2364 passing yards, 15 TD's. Rodgers 32 TD's 3326 passing yards. It's laughable to think Alex Smith compares in any way to Aaron Rodgers.
  22. It does hurt when you have a QB that can't complete a pass over 20 yards.
  23. We'll get you next year in Fayetteville!
