  1. Thanks for the report, I was wondering what conditions were like in that neck of the woods.
  2. It's really a sad deal , and from what I've read it has nothing to do with other boats. Sounds like a series of bad decisions that ended in tragedy. And yet another sad lesson on the consequences of not wearing a PFD. "It all started on Tuesday when the family rented a house on Beaver Lake for a short getaway. Several family members were on the lake when their paddle boat broke. They decided to put 5 people into a 3 person canoe to get back to land. "So we ended up losing control and it flipped over," said Joana Hernandez, Stacey's Sister."
  3. I have seen it, but it has been so long ago that I don't remember much about it. I guess that gives me an excuse to watch it again.
  4. That's not a bad idea. I can see if they are sitting upright, the picnic table gives a fish great overhead cover.
  5. Son! That must have been an awesome experience.
  6. I think in this case Zoom is again copying the competition, as in, if they sell 6 in their pack, so will we. One thing I will give Strike King credit for is they do a nice job of packaging their baits.
  7. Chinatown - Another good one. Speaking of LA crime stories, LA Confidential is another one I like.
  8. I think it's reasonable for that type of bait. I think those Missile bait deals are about the same price.

Yeah I agree, if you don't like it, don't read it. Seems to be a simple concept.
  10. The cuts and pockets in the bluffs on the Kings are stuffed with wood, layers deep. Some of the banks have a bunch of wood on them on the lower Kings. I imagine some of it is out there floating around now.
  11. The Senko is a certainly a bait that every plastics manufacturer out there has copied. Hard to beat the GYCB Senko, which I assume is the original, but as Ham mentioned, they are so fragile.
  12. Dr. Strangelove - I had forgotten about that one, that is a great movie.
  13. Yeah, 918 would be fun this spring. Good for the fry survival also. More rain in the forecast for next week, but so far they are saying it won't be heavy.
  14. "Midnight Run" is yet another movie that pops into my mind - very funny.
  15. I like the looks and the price. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Zoom_Z_Craw/descpage-ZRPOC.html
  16. Looks like they are running at 12,000 CFS for the last 2 days, I think you are right.
  17. The Road Warrior (Mad Max 2) is another good one. A good, but somewhat obscure, Jack Nicholson movie is The last Detail. The Sand Pebbles is another good oldie.
  18. I liked it, seen it three times. I'd put it in my top 20.
  19. Yeah no romances, LOL.
  20. I like the new True Grit - Jeff Bridges did a great job. No Country for Old Men, raising Arizona also great.
  21. Indeed - so many good movies, impossible to list just 5.
  22. Letters from Iwo Jima is a good one also (directed by Eastwood).
  23. Saving Private Ryan Young Frankenstein (and Blazing Saddles). Shane Unforgiven Lawrence of Arabia
  24. That's some good fishing, looks like the water up there is still in good shape.
  25. Sure looks like it.
