  1. I'm sure he can turn on the charm when needed, useful skill when recruiting.
  2. No trouble here.
  3. Wow, $52 million over 7 years, pretty good money for a college hoops coach.
  4. Not all the time, but going forward I'll net (or Boga) the ones that have trebs waving around.
  5. Yep, they are out there.
  6. A good one to bring back to life, which reminds me that I need to dig my Cabelas spoons out of storage.
  7. Always have some in the boat on ice during the summer.
  8. Yep that's a good idea, I'm going to keep my Boga Grips on the deck rather than in the locker for those small, swingable fish. This one hook experience is enough for me, don't want any others.
  9. Could be the "Regional Drug Task Force". You'll see that name pop up in road related drug busts. A couple of years ago they were active on 540 south of Fayetteville busting drug smugglers. They had to be getting info on when those drug runs were being made, because no way they were making those busts on random traffic stops.
  10. Saw 2 troopers at the state line yesterday. One down by lake Bella Vista also.
  11. I should add, you may see some BVPD out there, but this isn't a BVPD is writing some tickets to make some money thing, it's coming from somewhere else, state or maybe county.
  12. I did see some mid-channel top water activity, so I think there are some out deep, but I could not find any. I have also seen shad schools up near the steep banks, they may be spawning. Small gills are on the banks also. Lots of stuff going on, but I'm not seeing the bass activity you'd think you'd see this time of year.
  13. It's not the BVPD, State Troopers.
  14. Last year I was driving on 49/540/71 (whatever the number of that HWY is) on Sunday afternoon on Wakarusa weekend and saw the same thing in the north bound lanes. A little over done in my opinion.
  15. I think somebody goes out and has a good day and it becomes a "hot spot".
  16. Fished out of Big M the last 2 mornings, fishing has slowed considerably for me, caught about 15 both days, best bite has been on a Trick worm c-rigged. A couple of top water fish on the Mikey and a couple on a Megabug fished on a wobble head. Can't find any fish deeper that 10 feet, the ones I've been catching are right up on the bank. Had a few decent fish, several fat keeper sized K's and a couple 2-3 lb. LM's. Experienced the joy of hooking myself this morning, tried to lip a K with a face full of Mikey, got one of the tines from the tail-end treble through the bottom outside of my pinky finger. Lots of fun with a frisky K still attached to the lure. Fortunately (I think) the barb came out the other side of my finger, so after getting the K off, I was able to snip the hook point and barb off and back the hook out. I'm netting all, and I mean all, Mikey fish from now on. 3 sets of sharp trebles flying around are just trouble waiting to happen. Water temps 78 - 79.
  17. Yeah bad deal all around.
  18. Thanks for the report, and glad to hear you got some good fishing!
  19. Excellent, glad to hear you got into them!
  20. Great area to live in, especially if you like to river fish for trout. You've also got Bull Shoals lake nearby. Not much in the way of upland birds however.
  21. Yep looks like a good idea on that fluke.
  22. Don't know how close you are to Shell Knob, but Sports Boats in Shell Knob is selling Ned heads made by board member Danger Close.
  23. Never realized that small tackle manufacturers had to pay that 10% tax.
