Fished from 08:30 until about 2:00 PM. There was a decent bite for a while, some 20 feet deep off 45 degree chunk rock, and I picked up some bass off of pole timber and cedars near cove mouths in 10-20 FOW. As usual, as I was dragging a Texas rigged green pumpkin tube. I'm dragging it real slow, trying to imitate a crawdad slowly walking across the bottom. Sometime in the rocks you have to hop it a little to avoid the hang-ups, then I'll hop it a few inches and let it drop down to the bottom. I caught a dozen bass today, one nice 4.5 lb. fish, and a good proportion of keepers, I'd say 8 between 15-17". One 16.5" meany., a couple of spots, but most were large mouth.
Water temps were 42-43.
Weather forecast is calling for an extended period of cold weather, so it may be a while before I get back out on the Rock. Don't you just love it when you find a good bite and then the weather goes down the drain?

The 4.5
Another meany, I've been picking up one or two of these dudes every trip for a few weeks now and they've been decent sized for a meany. Seems to be more of them for some reason.
This guy has those winter black spots.
And a nice chunky 16" LM, typical of what I caught today.
