  1. Thanks for the report, I don't fish nights myself, other than if I get out on the water before daylight.
  2. Just drove over to Lost Bridge North, water is still clear up at that end of the lake. On the road in you could see where water and debris had come over the road, but it's all cleaned up now. But we're supposed to get more rain starting tomorrow morning. Sheesh.
  3. Thanks for the ideas, just watched the weather forecast, they're calling for the rain to begin Monday morning and last through Tuesday. It could be heavy rain at times. I hope they are wrong.
  4. I was just looking at the total weights, Palaniuk averaged 22 lbs. per day, 88 lbs. for the tourney. Pretty impressive smallie fishery those Yankees have. Wish it was closer to here.
  5. Congrats to Palaniuk, pretty impressive win. The last few smallies I've caught on TR had the coloration of the one on the right. More of a solid brown color than the spotted variety on the left. Not as big, however
  6. Supposed to be another rain front moving through Monday afternoon and Tuesday. Then the forecast is for highs in the mid to upper 70's, lows in the 50's. Water is being pulled out of the lake, levels are dropping. I should have time to do some bass fishing next week. I'm trying to figure out what structure to target and what to throw. Seems like late September, who knows what they'll want? But if I can figure anything out, it could be a hot bite.
  7. Interesting read, bet that cop wrote a lot of tickets. I'm surprised there aren't more drowning's, getting falling down drunk and being on the water is a recipe for dying.
  8. About the only good thing I can say is that I haven't had to do any watering for a few weeks now.
  9. There was rain south of Fayetteville, maybe some of it fell in the White river drainage area?
  10. Day 3 is done, Palaniuk still in the lead, has about a 4# margin over JVD. http://www.bassmaster.com/tournaments/2013-elite-series-st-lawrence-river-showdown/leaderboard
  11. Little Sugar has dropped quite a bit, still up, but it's in the channel and kind of a pea soup green.
  12. I planted some winter squash for the first time, squash bugs have torn it up, I've never seen them so bad. Squirrels have done a number on my maters, I've trapped and relocated 7 so far, but more just keep showing up. The mater plants are doing fine and I get a mater or two in spite of the squirrels. Cukes have done well, but are starting to fade.
  13. Victorious, once again.

    Chiefs

I could only stand it for one possession, once the backup QB came in on the 2nd series, I was done. But that first series the Chefs looked like a well oiled machine. It appears Andy Reid knows how to utilize Jamaal Charles. Oh well, only one series so I don't want to read much into it, but they looked good.
  15. Thanks for the great report, spinnerbaits in the bushes - is this August?
  16. Day 2 results are in, Palaniuk still clinging to the lead, but a bunch of guys are close including KVD. http://www.bassmaster.com/tournaments/2013-elite-series-st-lawrence-river-showdown/leaderboard

Yep I may watch a bit of it, I'm not too big on pre-season FB, but I might be able to stand about a quarter or so.
  18. You're right about that small head. Almost has a body shape like a carp.
  19. Excellent! I hope you get into some.
  20. Those Yankee smallies are fat for sure. They talk like 7 lbers. (or better) are possible where those guys are fishing. I can't imagine catching a 7 lb. smallie.
  21. If you go, I'd like to hear what you see as far as water conditions.
  22. If there's a camera around, Cuban will try and get in front of it.
  23. Thanks for the idea.

    Debris

Probably will be a lot of floating timber out there moving down lake if they keep running water.
  25. Or you could buy one of these for much less. http://www.basspro.com/Frabill-Grip-N-Check-Fish-Measurer/product/10208121/
