  1. Billfo, the way we understood the regulation was that you could still use the pumps... you just could not leave them there permanently. We keep ours in the dock locker and only use it when cleaning fish. I don't know for sure, we may be bending the rule...
  2. Come down and fish Table Rock and hop over to State Park by the dam. They have some good single track across from the park called White River Valley Trail. 4 different trails (Red, Blue, Orange and Green) with connectors (White) to each. Good maps at all 3 trailheads, just take a picture with your phone and take off. I'll try to post a link: http://mostateparks.com/sites/default/files/trail_maps/tablerock_whiterivervalleytrailsystem.pdf
  3. Our Flex has 3rd row seating... They fold flat to make cargo space. Very handy!
  4. Ended up buying a 2012 Ford Flex AWD. Great vehicle, my wife loves it. She has put about 45,000 miles on it and averages 20 mpg. The all-wheel-drive cuts on the mileage some. One of our daughters plays travel softball and we take it on those trips. Loaded with 4 people, gear, coolers and everything we need, we still get above 20 on road trips. Could not be happier with it!

  6. Hey guys! We are supposed to float Alley to Eminence this Friday Aug 2nd. How much rain did you get down there, and do you think it will be floatable? I just looked at the USGS website and it looks like lots of water... Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Oh yea, 3 couples that have average to above average floating skills. Thanks again!
  7. Good Job! I fished Saturday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 and ended up with 10 keepers. Fished main lake timber 10' - 25' deep... did better on the deeper trees fishing with slab buster jigs.
  8. Tri-Lakes Marine in Spokane - 417-443-0093 They are a G3/Yamaha dealer
  9. I have one and have used it for mountain bike riding and bow hunting. I love it! I would also agree with the sound in the waterproof case... You can mount them almost anywhere with the grab bag of mounts they sell.
  10. I was at Shell Knob last week on Wednesday and also this past weekend. I did my best in the KAA cove fishing in about 10 -12 foot of water and throwing to the bank. Get the jig tipped with a minnow and bounce it off the bottom in about 5 foot of water and they would bite it. It was a very light bite, but they were there. I tried the pole timber around the island but did not have any luck. I dont know what the KAA cove is actually called, but it is the first cove on the right after you turn up the Kings past the island. Good Luck!
  11. Does anyone have one of these or know somebody that does? I'm just looking for an opinion... MPG, road noise, cargo space etc. Thanks for any info you can give!
  12. Found a few here at the house just south of Rogersville today. Rolled in crushed saltine crackers and fried in butter........ not too bad with a big ole ribeye on the grill!
  13. I have used 3M Fiberbglass Restorer and a cheap variable speed buffer from Harbor Freight. Start slow and work up to a high speed. Let the machine do the work! Dont apply too much pressure or too much speed too early... clear coat will burn. It is less work than the wet sanding, but you have to be careful not to burn the clear coat or buff your way through it. Make sure you cover your carpet and wear old clothes, the buffer will throw the compound everywhere!
  14. Nice looking rig! How do you like getting in and out of it? I bought the Mad River Synergy 12... I use it on Table Rock in the early mornings to fish a couple of coves that are close to our place in Shell Knob but have also had it on the Finley and love it. The Synergy 12 is kind of a hybrid canoe/sit on top kayak. I also made a cart to help haul it. I used PVC with an axle and wheels from Harbor Freight. There is a good video on youtube of a milk crate cart if you are looking for ideas. Here is a pic of mine...
  15. Just wondering if anyone here on OAF knows anything about Sardis? I fish with a group of guys that take a trip every spring and fall and we were looking for a new place to go this coming spring. From what I can find on the net, there seems to be very few resorts... Also, looks like no boat docks on the entire lake so I assume we will have to trailer our boats each night. Any information you can give will be greatly appreciated.
  16. Thanks for all the advise. Hopefully we can get some fishing in between all the people. I will post the results next week and let you know how it was. Thanks again
  17. We are supposed to float this weekend from Alley to Eminence. Have never been to Jack's Fork before and just wondering what to expect? Wondering what the water levels are like and also what kind of crowd we are going to deal with. We have a couple of inexperienced floaters in our group of 8 and also a couple that will want to fish. Any suggestions/comments will be appreciated. Thanks
  18. Make the drive over to Shell Knob and go to The Steak Inn... make sure you order the "Boss Cut"! They have a great salad bar too.
  19. here we go again...
  20. Give me some fresh crappie and its a meal!!!!
  21. Highway 65 south and Highway 60 east look like a BassCat parade today. I can't tell you how many i have seen

    Brackets

What a gutsy shot at the end of the Drake game ... I would have never shot the 3 being only 1 down. I thought drive the basket and draw the foul. I guess that's why I am not coaching in the "Big Dance" I have NC, Wisconsin and Stanford, UCLA in the final 4.
  23. About a 6-pack at deck boat cruising speed... Did you want a time estimate? It is about 20 lake miles from Indian Point to Baxter... maybe an hour?
  24. We will be heading down to Theodosia the last week of March for 3 days of fishing staying at the Theodosia Marina-Resort. We will be targeting bass on our trip and was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on what to use. Do you think the water will be warm enough by then to throw a wiggle wart or spinnerbait??? Or are we going to have to stay deeper with some jigs and finesse lures? Should we stay around Theodosia and Pontiac or are we going to have to make a run somewhere? Sorry for all of the questions, I would appreciate any help you can give.
  25. I just called them last year and bought it over the phone. It arrived a couple days later in the mail. I don't remember being able to do it on-line...
