Man my back is sore...

If they fix the dock as fast as they replace the light next to it, we may be waiting a few years for it. I can't remember the last time that light worked. Its pretty bad when the guy driving the boat has to shine a light on the ramp so you can back the trailer in.

I just got back from Aunts Creek... I fished a dock that I have a few beds under and around. No fish, no bites, no nothing. The Rock wins again!!! Hard winter wins... come on Spring!!!!!!

It's a good thing Tony went low... not for M & M's but for #12. It could have been a totally different finish had he stayed high! Maybe next time Jr.!

has anyone been lately? I went Sunday morning to Old State Park and fished a few spots with no luck. Caught one keeper walleye off the bridge pillar and no crappie . It sure was nice to be out there with no wind... only problem was the east side of the bridge at the mouth of Old State Park cove was covered with ice.

I saw one doe opening morning and a good 8-point late Saturday evening. No chance to shoot at either one. Out of our group of 8 hunters we took 4 deer. Ready to see what kind of weather we are going to have this coming weekend. Hopefully the wind will stop blowing and the temps will drop a little. Good luck

I am looking for advice on a trip for May/June 2008. We have been going to Canada for 5 or 6 years and tried Maine last year. We are looking for an American Plan trip with guided fishing and shore lunches. We also would like to stay in the states... I know thats hard but hopefully somebody here will have some experience. Sorry... spin fishing not fly-fishing. It's hard to hang on to a 12 oz. can with a flyrod in my hand. Send me a message if you know of anything. Thanks Pat

Yes it does... BRONAUGH CORRECTIONAL FACILITY. It sleeps 7 people. We have hot and cold running water, propane oven with 4 burner cooktop and a AM/FM stereo with CD and MP3 connection. She glides down the road at an easy 60 MPH. Not quite the bus we all road to school on! OK... bring all comments!

I hunted in Texas and Douglas counties for years. Loved it down there. For the last five years I have been up in Vernon Co. just west of Moundville. What??? never hear of Moundville... south and west of Nevada. Here are a couple pictures of camp. What do you guys stay in? Check out the Ozark Hunters Forum... lots of good info over there. Phil does a great job running these two sites and we need some more input on the Hunters site.

vonreed, What type of ground surrounds the woods... any crops or fields with a pond? I would look for some kind of natural funnel to or from this area and try and get there early-thirty if you are going to bow hunt. If you are going to gun hunt, I always like to be in my stand when everybody else is getting down... especially on or near government land. When everybody else gets cold and hungry and starts heading back to camp for breakfast/lunch, you never know what they are going to kick up. Let us know what the scout camera turns up. Good luck!

tried the deer cocaine last year... they beat up the ground just like advertised, but did it all at 2:00 A.M. Hard to hunt those deer when i am sleeping!!!

Went opening morning and then again yesterday morning. We did better yesterday than we did opening morning. Maybe we should practice shooting more????? :lol: Hunting down by Linden on a friends farm. Here are a couple of pictures. Shot a banded bird yesterday morning. That is my first banded dove.

Took my twin girls down to Aunt's Creek Sunday night and let them fish from about 8 to 10 p.m. They caught 3 crappie and probably 10 perch off of our dock. I put one light in the water above a couple of beds I have hanging off the dock. I spent most of my time baiting hooks and they spent most of their time feeding the fish. As many minnows as they lost... the crappie should be getting fat. I would liked to have tried it myself, but they were having too much fun. Sorry, no pics... dad left the camera in the truck! Coach, let me talk to the boss and I will let you know. Are you planning on going this week?

has anybody tried the Aunt's Creek area at night lately??? I might go one night this weekend and give it a go. Will post results Tue. if I go. A weekend without the computer should be nice!

same here... i have not been able to get on for a couple of days now.

I know they are still having night tournaments out of Cape Fair... but I think they are on Friday nights????
