  1. You can pay a daily fee and snag from the Roadhouse dock just below 65 bridge. Only place I really know of that has decent snagging from the bank on LoZ.
  2. I think they have made a few cosmetic changes and rebranded it as a Bass Pro rod. Otherwise it's basically the same thing as you already said.
  3. I wouldn't mind seeing that rain hit down around Beaver/Tablerock. Get those flood gates opened back up on Taneycomo!
  4. It may be warming up, but the stinking rain is keeping the rivers all jacked up. 😖
  5. Dad and I were bored so we ran down to the Springs for the last part of the day. Water was up probably a foot from opening day and flowing pretty good. Fishing wasn't the greatest. Dad caught four using bait and orange worms. I caught six (two on orange worm, two on trout magnet, two on white thread jig) and missed a bunch. Fish were biting very light and if I didn't see the bite and anticipate the hook set, I'd miss them every time. We fished between the first slow hole and the bathroom hole. Talked to a guy as we were leaving who said he caught almost 30 down below the bridge at the mud line.
  6. I also recommend the Air Stream but prefer the 6-6.5’ model myself.

I just replaced a set of 29dc Everstarts in my boat after 5 years of hard use. They were still working well, but I figured I'd just be proactive and replace them since I fish almost every weekend and I'd more than got my moneys worth.
  8. I know my yard is sure rutted up from getting the boat in and out of the shed. Makes me wish I had a real driveway back to the shed. I''ll have to get that fixed before I start my mowing.
  9. That's how that area was for us all winter. We had to weed through a lot of small fish to pick up the nicer ones.
  10. Yep. Looks like I won't be burning any wood for a while with the forecast. We have a forced air outdoor wood furnace that comes in through the side of the house. It's great when it gets below freezing as it keeps the house around 71-73 degreees, which is perfect. If it gets above freezing though, it gets way too warm for our tastes. The propane keeps the house at 65.
  11. I always use a Christie Craw or some sort of a small swimbait trailer of similar color to the chatter bait when I throw them.
  12. A few years ago I caught several smallies on a green pumpkin chatterbait, but have since opted to fish a swimbait instead. Not really sure why, just have. They'll eat buzzbaits too, but the green bass seem to prefer them over the smallies from what I have seen. Chatterbats and buzzbaits tend to produce a better quality bite for us than a lot of other baits when they do get bit by smallies.
  13. If you ever want to fish one of these, I highly recommend it. They are a blast! I now look forward to January and February since I started fishing these a few years ago.
  14. He was a fresh one and fairly weak so it wasn't hard to land him on 4# line. I just happened to snag him with my jig right where his bill had broken while reeling in to make another cast.
  15. I'm always amazed at how many fish hang out right by the dam near the surface when the water is this cold. I guess that dam is one giant heat sink so it probably holds heat fairly well.
  16. We all know we can't count on @Phil Lilley. He couldn't even post pictures of today yesterday!
  17. I'd say the gates are open. Looks like tail water levels hit 703.36 when generators first went down and then jumped back up to 706.68 within a few hours. Generators still show zero though. 18. I think we posted at the same time so I had not seen your post when I made that post. It was meant for Ryan and laker in regards to the fish shocking.
  19. Are we talking like gigging with a generator loud or worse? I've seen a lot of nice game fish just stay put as we cruise over them with a generator running full tilt in our search for suckers.
  20. With all the boat traffic Taneycomo gets, I'm sure they don't think anything of it. I think it would interesting to see what they dredge up between Cooper Creek on down to Roark Creek. Lots of 20' deep water and brush for them to hide in and that isn't very far down lake.
  21. The current world record lake trout weighed 72lbs and it was 59" long.
  22. Yep. That was the one caught on a tube out of the Pot Hole.
  23. Hopefully it will at least run through the weekend. If so, I am hooking the boat up and heading that way!
  24. Said they stocked 7000. Water was pretty dingy though so you couldn't see much.
  25. Maybe Frank has made it back down there by now and you'll get to tangle with him since that's the area that Paul hooked him.
