  1. I know some people on here hate when others post helpful advice and claims that it's not very helpful anyways, but I will post this anyways. How to ignore annoying people Step 1) Mouse over the users name until you see this and then click "Ignore User" Step 2) You should then see this. Check all four boxes and then click "Update Preferences" Step 3) Enjoy never seeing posts from this user again!
  2. You should drag your mind out of the gutter and realize that "hard on" doesn't always reference something sexual. To save you the trouble, I even looked up the meaning of how I used the term for your reading pleasure. If you don't already understand what having a hard on for somebody is, I imagine Googling for information is not one of your strongest skills either. http://www.dictionary.com/browse/have-a-hard-on-for-someone While you may not find anything that I post helpful, I guarantee that I've helped far more people catch fish of a variety of species than you could ever dream of. Since you have yet to answer the question that I've asked you multiple times, why are you even on this forum if you hate seeing fishing pictures and reading information about fishing that has been posted by others and that may possibly help another angler out? That is literally the whole point of Phil starting this forum.
  3. How come you only target a select few members when they post pictures of fish, but not of the many many others who do the same thing? Does this standard of posting only pertain to people you have a hard on for? Also, you forgot to answer the rest of my post. Please enlighten us all on proper posting technique for a fishing forum where one doesn't post anything about fishing nor any fishing related pictures.
  4. Pinch the the worm in half and then thread the small half on to a 1/80-1/100 oz jighead and fish it just off of the bottom beneath an indicator. The small weighted floats that Lilley's carries are nice for this method since they give you extra casting weight and it doesn't take much for the trout to pull it under. I've used the fatter half of the power worm as well, but they thinner side has a little more wiggle action.
  5. So by posting detailed information on how I caught fish, whether it be bass, trout crappie, paddlefish, etc since I am fairly decent at catching more than unpressured stream bass, so that it may help another angler out in the future, I am only doing it to stroke my ego? What do you even bring to the forum besides being a negative Nancy? How does that help anybody? You only post to talk down on other members, you don't post any fishing reports. Sounds to me like you get off just by talking down to others since that is literally the only time you post. If you don't like what Aaron or anybody else posts then what is the point of even opening the post or commenting? Do you not have the ability to ignore things that you don't like? I guess being an adult is harder for some than others...... Can you please list out what we should be posting on here since fishing reports and pictures of fish are apparently the wrong thing. I'm sure all of us would love to read what you consider proper posting guidelines.
  6. I guess we need others on the forum to start posting then. When will your first fishing report with pictures be posted?
  7. Thanks for the input. I was thinking the 1/8 and 1/4oz would suit my needs best and you guys have pretty well confirmed that.
  8. What size rooster tails do you prefer using for trout and white bass? Also, do you have issues with the blades not spinning properly on the smaller sizes?
  9. Son of a gun! I love fishing that worm, but I don't think I've ever caught anything over 15" on it nor have I ever caught a brown on it.
  10. I guess they had already got the cable issue resolved by the time we made it down there. We got down between 1-2pm and worked our way down past the Landing shortly after. Every time I go under those cables, I think of whether I could trim up the Etec and hit them with some jet spray.
  11. We may have to route his traffic through a proxy or VPN hosted in a foreign country, but by golly he will be able to see OAF when we are done!
  12. Do a better job than me. I've been down to fish the last two tournaments and haven't found the time (or energy after a long day of fishing) to make it out there. One thing I was going to suggest if Bill has a computer with Windows handy is to install Teamviewer. That would enable one of us techies to hop on remotely and try a few things.
  13. Holy moly! That's a long day on the road.
  14. Hopefully everybody made it back safely. It sounds like I-44 was a disaster! Some of my buddies were up fishing at LoZ and they came back through Lebanon heading east and saw a TON of wrecks.
  15. We threw the kitchen sink today and caught our fish on a little bit of everything. Dad caught the 1.94 on a crawler in the last hour before weigh in. My best was a 1.5# on a jerkbait. The other weigh fish came on jigs, pink power worm under a float and onr on powerbait. The jig and jerkbaits were best early on before the wind started ripping. After that, bait and the pink power worm worked better, mainly because we were having a hard time using a jig due to the wind. We had a great time as always. One of the days I might actually beat Mr. Dietl. So far, I am 0-5! Each time we place well, he wins the darn thing.
  16. They work great for fishing a jitterbug for bass!
  17. @Phil Lilley I think you should get an aerial shot from the drone of @Gatorjet running down Taney throwing a big rooster! That could be the new intro to your One Cast videos!
  18. Boga's are great for fish that don't have soft mouths like a trout. They really work well for catfish.
  19. Will you guys be running the drone for the RAW take off? You guys broke it out for one of the tournament launches last year and I thought that was pretty cool.
  20. Some guys might act that way, but I think there are still plenty of folks on here who will still share information on the public forum. I for one will never stop offering advice if somebody asks for it. There is a lot of water and a lot of fish out there to be caught and I don't see the point in being stingy with information. Of course there are always exceptions when I'm a bit more tight lipped, such as when it comes to winter smallies.
  21. Maybe this will be the solution to keeping the hateful banter off of the public forum. Let the "cliques" form their own little closed group and trash talk to their hearts content while keeping it off the rest of the forum and spare those who aren't interested in the drama the trouble.
  22. If the water is off, I like to go with a 1/16 oz jig. As for colors, my two favorite right now are black/olive and orange head/sculpin/peach. Straight black and sculpin/orange work well too. When the water is cranking, I bump up to an 1/8 oz jig and also add white to the preferred colors. White is hit or miss. Sometimes they love it and other times they don't. It never does real well for me when the water is off. Another thing to think about is the wind. If the water is calm, but the wind is really howling then you may have to use a 3/32 or 1/8oz jig anyways. Try to fish it with or against the wind and not across the wind.

    Get Out!

I recall my younger brother walking in to the kitchen like he always does, going over the little room where the trash can resides, whipping it out and letting it fly as I was in the kitchen helping dad work on dinner. Dad realized what he was doing and hollered at him, which woke him up as he was standing there and went running back to his bedroom in a state of tears and confusion. I'm fairly certain he even fell back asleep after he got back to his bed before getting up and eating dinner. That's the only time I can recall a true case of sleep walking.
  24. I was wiped out after the tourney yesterday so I didn’t make it to Bill’s. Phil said he will go over there one of these days and get in touch with one of us techies and try to get this issue resolved.
