  1. I’m an efficient fisherman. Didn’t need as much time as you guys took 😄
  2. Nice cutt-bows! 😄 Seriously, as you know, I love the small stream hunt, especially for natives. Love seeing this. Had to look up Great Sand Dunes. Looks to be directly north of where I fished for Rio Grandes.

    What's Cooking?

Whipped up some pork chili verde for tomorrow night. Charred some Hatch chilies and tomatillos. Braised pork with water, onions, bay leaves and peppercorns for a couple hours. Blended peeled chilies and tomatillos then added to sauteed onions and garlic with chicken stock, shredded pork and braising liquid. Made a couple tacos with some of the pork tonight, because I just couldn’t put it away without having some. And it was good.

I’m just waiting on Phil to activate her account. Stay tuned. 😄

Got mine at Wal-Mart. They’re from MO.

    What's Cooking?

Got my crock off Amazon I think. First batch was in the big mason jar in the pickle pic above. Never have had kimchi. I see it in the store but it’s fairly expensive, so I just never bit the bullet.

    What's Cooking?

This was easy to do. Don’t really need the clay crock. Have done kraut a couple times. It was just ok. Probably be better with a better starting product.

    Yes. Here’s the recipe I used: https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/dill-pickles-recipe-1950656

    What's Cooking?

I’m quite pleased with the fermented pickles. Nice and sour with a touch of heat. Kept a good crunchy texture. Transfered to a smaller container and have them in the fridge.

    Whatchya Drinking?

No worries. The first few splashes I was trying to figure out how much would come out with a shake 😄 I’ve got it all figured out now. Second go around was better.

    Whatchya Drinking?

Alright, at @rps’ suggestion I got some Reagan’s orange bitters to add to a martooni, which also has a dilly bean garnish. Pretty good, but a little goes a long way. Did about 4 shakes. Next time it’ll be 2.

    What's Cooking?

Been a week now, so I’m gonna try one soon. My understanding is they’ll continue to get more sour with more time. They smell pretty good right now. No scum yet.
  18. Alright, alright, sorry. Was just poking you a little bit. Maybe should have added a couple extra smileys.
  19. A few pics from your daughter, and you’ve got all 1 billion of them pegged? That sure simplifies things. 😄
  20. They’re over here doing app development. We have several working for us and they’re smart as hell and hard working. They’re a little hard to understand at times, and when they roll their R’s I kinda want to giggle. But if I need something, they’ll figure it out and get it done quickly. Wait, this about otters...Never mind.

OMG! Did they let a black guy in?? 😄
  23. Looks like a great trip. Haven’t been to SW CO. I need to get over there!
  24. Way to make the most of an otherwise humdrum parental duty!
