It demonstrates what a flipping joke the ncaa is.

That would sure be nice, but we'll never see it ... or anything close. With the contractual obligations of conferences and bowl games, and power/money concentrated in a minority of the conferences and teams, it will not happen. But, wouldn't it be sweet to have a single elimination tournament, with conference champions and a few wildcards to round things out, playing to a national championship? National interest would be HUGE, and they'd make more money overall. Problem is, big-money conferences and bowls don't want to share. Which is why it sucks.

Yeah, 8 would be better and 16 would be even more better. There are enough bowl games to do that, and still keep most everybody happy.
  5. I may be misunderstanding you, but he doesn't owe the Feds. He bought the property free and clear, taxes are the other guy's problem and were likely covered by the sale price with some left over. The former owner would get what's left after costs. I'd bet the Feds weren't too worried about keeping costs down, so close to zud.
  6. Hell, I read it. That's why I asked.
  7. So, who's this JR guy and what does he own and/or run down there?
  8. Do I remember right -- the tax bill plus fines was ~$300K?
  9. Saw this: http://www.lebanondailyrecord.com/news/local/article_02714210-703e-11e4-b007-9f5fcb738a7d.html
  10. Yes it is -- thankfully, there are a few places left like that.
  11. I don't think it's a 'public access' as much as it's a tolerant landowner.
  12. Ahhh, puppies. It's a good thing they're so cute. We're 15 months into our latest one, and she's not showing any signs of settling down yet. So, anyway...poppers...
  13. Yeah, yeah. I know. When he cranks one out its a thing or beauty. He knows his stuff. For me, my basement is such a freakin mess I can't get anything done til it's fixed.
  14. You're right, I will be amazed if you ever get yours done. (See what I did there?)
  15. Sorry to hear that -- sounds like he was a big part of your outdoors experiences, and it must have been a shock. Not much consolation, but I think going that way beats the heck out of a lot of the alternatives.
  16. Did one a while back with a weight towards the back. Just messing around though -- nothing's made it to paint yet.
  17. Ooooh. Like the pick idea. And, I've been fiddling with the two-piece bodies too.
  18. Cool pics, wrench. I especially like the third one.
  19. Not sure about the farm roads you mention. There are a few pulloffs along the road, and they get hit pretty hard right at those spots. A lot of the stream bed is extremely slick down there -- I don't bother going down anymore.
  20. Good day for the Chiefs. Thank you StL for your assistance.
  21. They gave TCU a heck of a fight today. Its been a long time since I've been excited about KUs football.
  22. You know, to me none of that matters. You just don't shoot a rifle toward a house. Period.
  23. Those guys in the second video are dip schitz. Shooting toward that farm is just stoopid.
  24. You step out...don't come back looking for sugar.
