    What's Cooking?

Speaking of different dishes, here were two new ones for us: Ham and egg cups. Deli ham in muffin tin, filled with egg and salsa mixture with feta cheese. Easy, quick and good. Will do again. Blueberry scones with a lemon glaze. With clotted cream, all English like. 🇬🇧
  3. Dang, you’re back home already?? Best of luck!!
  4. Glad you’re out. Listen to the doctors. Exercise your right to be a pain in the posterior, but don’t overplay it 😀
  5. It’s a mixed up jumbled up shook world except for Lola!
  6. I’m not 😀
  7. I’ve got my pick 😀
  8. No, no, no! It’s okay here as long as you don’t start it. 😀

    What's Cooking?

Wifey and I both thought we could improve on these -- they're a bit bland. So, I decapitated a few and added some shredded Colby jack cheese and brown, grainy mustard. We both agreed this will be SOP going forward.

  12. Yeah, that’s the day the cure takes affect. Can’t wait to end this quarantine stuff!! 😀😀
  13. Just a perfect combination of contrasting personalities!! I remember the argument between them about whether the TP should roll off the top or from behind 😄 When All in the Family first aired my mom called the station to complain that such a horrible show could possibly be shown on TV. Pretty soon she got the joke and was laughing as hard as anybody.
  14. Everybody's doin' it!
  15. If you've got a mortgage, skip a payment or two and get the Citori.
  16. Well, now you made me go find this clip (again)

    What's Cooking?

Looks good!! I just realized I can't remember the last time I had pork except for breakfast sausage a few weeks ago.
  20. Good for you! I’m sure you’re going to be happy with your choice. Don’t know what you’re upgrading from but the newer cameras are really impressive. Really like the auto ISO on mine. High ISO is soo good I don’t really have to worry about it.

    What's Cooking?

@BilletHead Do you guys eat the white stems raw? I've never grown Boy Choi but got it a couple times when I belonged to a CSA a couple years ago. I always did a quick stir fry and liked it. Never crossed my mind to grow though. Might throw some in after the early lettuce comes out. If I can get some seeds. All the online places I've looked at the last couple weeks are backed up and not taking orders. Anyhoo -- tonight it was a new recipe for us. Kathy's had a hankerin' for a chicken, pasta and artichoke heart dish. Found one she liked and whipped it up tonight. Pretty good, but we'll make some tweaks next time. Grilled chicken, artichoke hearts, ness-dried tomatoes from last summer, heavy cream and parmesan cheese. This was the first time we've used the our own dried tomatoes, and they were delicious. Thanks for the idea and tutelage, @BilletHead ! We're gonna double them up in the recipe next time. Big bursts of tomato flavor. It was our favorite part of the dish.

    What's Cooking?

What a waste of club crackers! And Cheez Whiz
  23. Gotta love Mother Nature. She's been been a pest all spring with late freezes, winds, too much rain. Finally get a break and the weather looks pretty good temperature-wise for the next week. Then this morning they say we'll get t-storms tomorrow and maybe some hail too.
  24. Got the rest of the schtuff into the ground this weekend. Maters, peppers, lettuce transplanted finally. Planted seeds for another crop of lettuce. Beets and bush beans started. Snap peas, chard, radishes popping up. Put up some plastic fencing to keep the dang critters out. So far, so good. Looks like a perfect week for getting things started.
