Ok I will try to remember chopped instead of cubed! The Top OAF Chef has spoken and BilletHead will listen . There will be fresh finely grated ginger, fresh sage from our garden, some garlic, Salt and black or white pepper. Not going to stuff in casings this time it will be bulk for patties.

So here we go the start of some fresh breakfast sausage. Two five pound batches of pork butt cubed up. One batch will be vacuum sealed for later batch and one will transform to goodness. Tomorrow we will continue. There will be nothing in this sausage that you cannot pronounce or something weird on the contents label on your store bought stuff,

I am still rooting for you getting through this. I know when this all gets over with and your fixed we are going to meet in a place between us and take a ride in the jet and catch some fish!

For those of you that have been to the bigger city stores what is the meat supply like? I think there is three maybe four Smithfield plants shut down. Is it going to be a run on meat now? I have not set foot in a store since Monday and even when was in there did not check the meat isle. Wish had some pork shoulder butt and make some fresh sausage.

It will be out there if they want us to know the truth. There are so many things out there our government and other governments don't want us to know. We may never know. I'm an optimist at heart and want to believe the best outcome. We live in the best place in the world.

Close family is another thing. I so want to break in the assisted living where my mom is and giver her a hug and gentle squeeze., I know she is safe, safer than we are who have to go out and about for things. My Son and his family too man how I want to see them.

That is a very good question Jerry, I doubt it will be the same for me. I will be thinking about this question a bunch. There is a couple things I have noticed. When I go by strangers it is different. I mean before there may be a glance like eye contact. Now it is total avoidance a turn of the head in opposite directions. People are really scared I am beginning to get a little paranoid. Never felt that way before unless I sense danger. Now to seeing friends in public. I feel a different sense of friendship now. I keep my distance as they do theirs but the time I spend with them feels a bit more important. Fished alongside two of my friends and we were all in different boats but it was nice to visit as we all fished. Then a friend another day and he boated with me in my boat. Trust him fully and know how concerned he is about this so know he is taking this serous too. Social contact is important. All of these guys are OAF members. I don't think we are made to be hermits. I have told these guys thanks for just seeing them and having them around for a bit. I needed that. This morning went to a farmer friends place to get some of those supplement tubs. He was feeding a lot full of calves. Normally he is so busy its just a wave or a quick howdy. Today he stopped what he was doing and came over. We both aware of distance thing began to visit for a long time. Compared our thoughts on the current condition of what was going on. Like most of us he is scared and more scared than most as he is fighting colon cancer. Again being around a friend helped me get through the day better. I needed that and I could tell our visit meant something to him. One lady at the bank that works the drive in. I went through for some banking. Even being social through glass was good. I told her it was nice to talk to her. She said the same thing. Since things were so slow she now works a week on and then week off. Misses her customers. Now to us on this Forum. It is getting to us all. We are getting pretty cranky. Pointing fingers and playing the blame game. This thing didn't start here it just invaded our part of the world. It will be with us for some time and like Jerry said will we go back to our normal life? One thing for sure I will be looking at everything different now for the rest of my life.

Uh oh, I didn't follow step 2 exactly right. I took off the amount to feed, fed it and put it back in the fridge. The rest I only let set out on counter for a couple hours until we mixed the dough. used enough to make it and pitched the rest. Could you imagine what would of happened if I did step 2 correctly? The bread would of popped the top off the dutch oven and filled the stove oven and opened the door!

Kind of fishy? Don't pangolins have scales? Armadillo kind of .

Last one I seen was moving so fast I couldn't catch him. They want them alive. Premium price if you catch one. The bigfoot in our neck of the woods eat them. I did once try to take a couple armadillos to our local wet market and convince everyone they were the American variety of pangolin. No one bit. Dang.

Only if well cooked. It is a no go if you grind the scales to powder and snort it like snuff for medicinal purposes.

You are just going to have to come and go with me. I am by far not good but lucky. I can abuse you like I do Mrs. BilletHead. She assists and works hard at it. We have fun.

When I say civilized I am talking treating fellow human beings the same. No bias for race creed or color of our fellow man. Would I defend my spouse of loved one yes for sure if needed to and Our country certainly. Yes if threatened we will all do something. Did our for fathers need to give the natives small pox on purpose? Did our for fathers need to enslaved men women and children from another country? You still have not answered my question I asked. We as humans have come along way by learning. Again do you feel more civilized than our for fathers? You take it as I am saying I am superior to others? Where did you get that idea? When did I say that?

I asked that question to you man, If were not civilized and we acted like some of our for fathers we would be a sad world. I would say we are more civilized are you?
