  1. If you guys think that OBBT big bass at TR has lots of boats then you definitely don't want to fish the BBB on Lake Ozarks.
  2. Made our annual club tourney this weekend out of KC with boats everywhere with BBB and a high school deal tourney going on. Fished 5:30 to 2:30 Sat. and a delayed start Sunday at 6:15 to 10:30 due to storms. 1st place weight of 19.43 with big bass of 3.74 caught mostly on a shakyhead and spook on flat nothing bank. 2nd place weight of 18.03 all caught on the little rig. Little shout out to Dave for the jig heads, they look great, wish I would have used them more but with weather was chasing the topwater bite to no avail for me.
  3. Little Rizzos is good, wobbly Boots has good food and Baxters is good but a little pricey
  4. Another bedding bass photo
  5. Do you have a breaker on TM wiring? It evidently got hot which should have tripped a breaker.
  6. I'll be glad when that pollen is all gone. Went down to dock last week seeing if the crappie were there and every cast would have some of those string beans on the lure and gave up.
  7. Lake is pretty clear everywhere right now, can see 4 to 6 foot down at 28 mm at house and have been in glaize and even clear there as well so I would say the gravois would be pretty darn clear in there but have not been in there last couple weeks
  8. Bite has been spotty, one here and one there. Not sure what is going on because ones caught and cleaned the eggs are not bloody. Thought they would be all over banks this week. Found one bank in Shawnees bend area holding some fish, we had 25 nice ones in 6 to 10 foot of water on 1/8th oz while road runner but went back in evening when the bite has usually been better and only caught 5.
  9. I would look for used old curado 100b, 200b, chronarch 100mg, 50mg, 100sf for $50 to $150. These reels are beast and one of the best reels ever made for the money. Started working on own reels and some buddies updating with carbontex drap washers, have done about 20 to 30 reels and not a whole lot to them. Have some curados from 1980s and still going strong.
  10. The crappie bite has been good on the banks here around the tan-tar-a area from around 7:30 pm till about 9:30 pm. Last 2 nites had a limit one night and 8 keepers, last night just casting from dock with black/blue with chartreuse tail grub. When cleaning them eggs were not bloody.
  11. Optima batteries are junk now is what I was told, bought 3 blue tops and one went bad in 2 years and got a replacement and lasted a year without abuse and always charging as should. My other 2 on TM or still doing fine but for the price would not go down that road again is my 2 cents worth
  12. What he said. Cold snap did not effect fish that were on beds, they are still there, at least at my dock around Tan-Tara area.
  13. It was our club tourney. Bass are definitely not spawned out, just starting probably
  14. They were in the pockets two weeks ago, not bedding but where there. We had 22 fisherman and 19 had limits, a lot of guys culling thru 10 to 15 keepers. Most guys throwing bottom baits. 1st place for 2 days was 23.25 lbs. With a 7.04 kicker. I finished second with 23.03 and I was throwing a shaky head in pockets or coves. In the coves they were on the little pockets on a straight bank fishing from the bank on out to 10-12 foot.
  15. Pomme was fishing good last weekend on bottom baits in pockets, should be better now
  16. PB2 will be a mad house with BIg bass bash just to let you know
  17. Severe thunderstorms today and Thursday, weatherman always right
  18. Can see chocolate towards backs but not all backs to a heavy stain. Probably all will be chocolate by weekend with forecasted heavy rains/storms.
  19. Not sure what temps and clarity are there but was chocolate here at 28 mm after the heavy rain and now is a heavy stain. Not sure of water temp but was 52-55 in glaize before the rain. With strong storms forecasted for Tuesday thru Thursday will more than likely muddy up again. The BFL is this weekend so reports will be scarce.
  20. Caught a couple keeps on wiggle wart day before all the rain. Most all the back of creeks are chocolate colored after rain but there is still clear or stained water available to fish as well.
  21. Wow, old plug, John Earnie brought up old memories from my childhood at Webb Creek boat dock, saw him feed his pet bass a minnow by hand off dock before. My grandma owned a house for years just up the road that we went down to in the summers in the late 60s and 70s. Haven't been down there in years, probably wouldn't even recognize the place.
  22. I would suggest a used Loomis Mbr844 IMX for jigs and tubes. For crankbaits you will need a different action rod.
  23. Wrench is that a channel, thought it was a blue?
  24. After fishing buddy tournament in dam area last weekend and only catching 1 keeper in 2 days fishing with water temps ranging 44 to 49 put in at pb2 and fished glaize area with water temps from 49-55. Fishing still slow but had 2 keepers on wiggle wart and a giant cat out of a brush pile on a jig. Very frustrating when you know you here the bite is good and your not on them. Been fishing creek banks leading to spawning flats with stickbaits along with secondary points. I think I need to slow down because I can see the fish on graph. See some what I believe are crappie just stacked on some of the brush in the 15 ft range when I go over them. I know the new carbontex drag washers I installed work smooth as silk with the big cat, that thing was chalk full of eggs.
