Catching a few bass on jerkbaits but pretty slow and tough for me anyhow. Went out 2 days ago and had 16 LM on first cast and 4 hours later caught a 2 lb. Kentucky. Ended day with 2 keeper bass, 1 crappie and 1 drum. Heard that crappie were biting pretty good and a few guys catching some shallow as well. Wrench what is water color like in gravois, it is a little stained in dam area.
I have 3 Okuma reels and the drag system is smooth and silky, some parts are plastic on reels I think but as mush as I use them they are great. Bought one when on vacation in Florida on recommendation from my wife's cousin who lives down there and bought 2 more the following year. I believe mine are the Epixor which were $59 at that time which was several years ago and they are still going strong.
Wonder why just 9 thru 1, to protect anglers starting and finishing holes maybe or just relocating personnel to and from weigh-in? I saw that T.Omori was watching video switching to a red crankbait on bridge like Howell
Two cool things that I liked in all of the production was with David Walker with the plaque from corp. and Kevin Short giving a shout out for the boat raffle for officer Pearson.
Spent most of its years in garage, only fishing Bull and TR once or twice a year and having 3 other spinning rods it didn't get used much. Nice meeting you and enjoy the rod, should make for one heck of a river rod.
Yes it is a great rod but only fishing the highland reservoir lakes once or twice a year it just doesn't get used. I guess I could make it one heck of a crappie rod for fishing off dock
Do you guys take your packages of baits out of boat after fishing and store inside in temp controlled environment? Had a pack in boat and all were melted together like gummy bears last year.
Fishinwrench has hit it right, been catching a few in the 10'to 15 foot range, most fish I have been catching have been in coves with shad, have not found a main lake bite as of yet.
Have a loomis spinning rod in good condition I don't use anymore, pick up at osage beach if interested, $150 firm, retails $250.

You will never get totally away from big boat traffic,it can be terrible but not to bad during the week especially after kids back to school. The problem with a lot of the housing is they are summer homes and not conducive to full time living with steep driveways and roads getting to your home in winter time. Be prepared to look at a bunch of junk, it will take time to find what is right.
