  2. I think most of the time the reports are the truth but yes you will not give up something if doing something a little different especially fishing both days, common sense. Most times it is not necessarily the bait anyhow, it's the location. Everyone knows what most of the big bags are being caught on this spring, not really a secret.
  3. Well like I said it may not be for everyone but for ME it is worth the $45 to have access to up to date info on fishing reports or tourney results and general info regarding fishing at LOZ.
  4. I am a paid subscriber to BassingBob and believe it is worth it and I live here. It may not be for everyone but for what it cost for things these days with high dollar boats and equipment guys use I think $45 for a year for up to date info is worth it for guys who aren't familiar with the patterns of the lake.
  5. There are lots of tourneys coming with the weekend tournaments along with B.A.S.S. College and high school tourneys during the week coming up.
  6. And it seems like the smaller lb test lines dont like the cold either
  7. Really! I have had nothing but problems with anything under 15 lb. I tried using 12 lb when coming down to TR and broke to many fish off using the tube with it and found out I really don't need to downsize my line at TR, just stay with 15 or 17 lb and do just fine.
  8. Like Ham said, Invisx doesn't like the snapping of the line to free a snag. I do not like any Invisx under 15 lb test. Of course I only use for bottom baits mostly though. Another issue in using lighter pound test 12 lb and below is the shock of a hook set if you have slack in your line. Need to loosen the drag for a little slip
  9. It has been awhile since I have fish MT but in May the fish will be spawning so I would look to spawning pockets and protected areas. And those fish get shallow, I mean real shallow. I used to throw my a big tube up on bank and drag it in as to not spook the fish. Good luck!
  10. There are a lot of guys with that sentiment because it forces them to throw it
  11. Could ask Dale at Nemo Bridge Resort
  12. If you can use it in a tourney you best be throwing it OR you will just get beat by it ?
  13. 2 guys from Mansfield Mo had the 31+ in little niangua and Sykora/Davenport had 23.5 for 2nd from glaize to the dam. Winner said jig. Sykora said jig/jerkbait
  14. All I said is to throw it because it flat out catches, you did the rest. Nice job. I am sure you had plenty of company up there. I think the whole lake if fishing good right now for bigguns
  15. Winner said a jig
  16. Just give me the GYCB in smoke for TR ?
  17. Water temp was a consistent 49 to 50.9 all around from the 24 to the 28 mm today, the water is quite clear for this area as well. Lake is down 5 foot (654) from normal pool (659) which is where they usually keep it at summer pool now days). Ended with 7 fish with 4 keepers today with no big ones. The crappie are not up on the banks as of yet this way. They are catching some out of the commercial docks.
  18. All 3 baits that have hooks are 5 inch swimbaits most of the time with swimming fluke jr. at top for my dummies. Not all swim baits are created equal, I like a swimbait that when reeled ever so slowly will still paddle the tail just fine but not all do.
  19. The smile says it all
  20. Someone can correct me if I am wrong but I believe you can have as many wires as you want but only 3 hooks. I use the 5 wire Yum flash mob jr. With the little willow leaf blades. Wish their middle wire were an inch or two longer though.
  21. I haven't got banned yet but mostly just look at boats I can't afford and sold a prop over there. I did get scolded for not having my full name on my page when selling my prop. ?
  22. In the Linn creek to Tantara area you have a couple foot visibility. The Niangua could be cleaner but from the pict I saw of the 8 lber it looked pretty stained as well. Last time I was up in dam area you had 6-7 foot visibility. Wish we had some rain to start the lake rising
  23. I have been checking for them every day or so to see if up on banks and up this way they are not on banks. Had one day a couple weeks ago that I caught some keepers on the bank in a couple laydowns and then couple days later they were gone.
  24. Not in tourneys not allowing an a-rig
  25. Nice, what part of lake. Lower lake I presume although water looks pretty stained in background
