  1. Nice catches. Been hearing that the fishing is starting to heat up. Will report back after I head up this weekend.
  2. Usually it will be either very hot fishing or a very long night lol. But stay overnight at your own temptations to see for yourself.
  3. Its a tough bite if your fishing from shore. Lots of good size smallies coming out, not very many whites. Since the water has gone up, we have been having trouble locating where the fish are at.
  4. ^ were you the one in the orange kayak? trolling two poles behind you?
  5. funny as hell. this guy didnt know what hit him.
  6. It is a nice day. Wish I could of gone out yesterday or today but hopefully tomorrow will do.
  7. Yep, not even supposed to cast over the line. They can give you a ticket if they want to.
  8. How was the weather down there? Been meaning to make it down with all the rain since I heard the fish are starting to gather. Had a buddy pull out some big sow whites last thursday.
  9. Caught a 30in 6lb muskie the other day out of there. Also ran into a few largemouths and whites.
  10. My guy said there were a bunch of big sows by the dam the other day.
  11. I even called my friend an idiot for thowing the a-rig. lol.
  12. ^ that means they were at beaver yesterday...haha. still waiting on a report from my friend who said he was going this weekend.
  13. Still have to respect the fish itself. It still was a record bass.
  14. One day they at Beaver, next they at Swan.
  15. I'm just a bank fisherman. I either fish the rock bluff side or the warm water outlet. My buddy caught fish on fluke but I was just hammering them on the lucky craft pointer.
  16. throw a jerkbait. must of caught over 10 fish the other day from 1-2lbs. really fun.
  17. Highly doubt the Stripers would be active enough to break surface yet. However, those carps seem to be found everywhere as of late.

    Paddlefish

Probably washed over from Table Rock.
  19. ^ monsters lurk in the dark..........in the water and out . j/k. around sunset it can get crowded if the bite is good or the run is in full swing. when night falls most the crowd goes home.
  20. Fishing is good so get out there. Was up by 65 bridge and couldnt buy a bite. Water was clear as glass but I could only see suckers roaming around. Then headed over to do some bank fishing by the outlet and man...seemed like everyone was catching something. Worms, jerks, A-rigs, etc, the bass were active.
  21. Were you with a friend? I was fishing alone at dark and 2 guys came up behind me when I was crouched down tying my lure. Scared me for a second when all of a sudden they asked if I caught anything. Vonreed, the weather was definitely brutal cold. Imagine the water flowing over the dam creating that mist with slight wind and freezing temps. Still managed 3 fish. All skinny 18-19" males, and all released. Had to call it quits when my hand were struggling to tie a knot. My hand were so cold, I had trouble turning the key to my truck haha. Gonna need better gloves.
  22. Did anyone on the forum happen to be down by the dam on the forsyth side Friday night?
  23. Could be wrong but the spawn starts a little earlier than most lakes due to the warm water. I say any day now. You can see 3-5lb females during the spawn. Never seen a record looking monster though.
  24. From past experience, sliders are what most people use. Where the crowd gathers, thats where the fish will be. Rootbeer with orange tail or pearl with chartreuse tail. Use 1/8 or 3/16 oz jigheads depending how fast the current is. Bright colored jigheads work well. Are they lining up the bank already? haha
  25. Catch another 40+lb striper. Catch a 5+lb largemouth on a swimbait. Possibly buy a Megabass rod.
