  2. We'll you know!!!!lol lol. Noticed it but am also waiting to see about OFF's meeting(date)and Matt Tucker has also started a topic on his form about a happy hour thing all at about the same time. Not to mention Leonard has given me plenty of tips, patterns and such about the wade able portions of Tanney. Not that I wont hopefully get a few more tips from him next time I'm down.
  3. Hope everyone else got theres also ? See I know that the kind and rather attractive post lady that delivers here fishes also. So when flies or gear are on the way. I watch even more closely. lol lol
  4. Sent ya a PM, but I will be easily recognized by my Ozark Anglers ball cap also.
  5. Its been a couple of weeks again since I stopped receiving email notifications. I just tried to "track this topic" and get the board error as well. Just subscribed to the Bennett Spring topic and will see if I get notification like that. Seems to act the same way it has since I reported it last time this started happening. 6. What flies are to be used with sink tip? Craclebacks,Woolbuggers ,leaches, streamers of all sorts. greens, olives, blacks, browns, white, any color that is used in jigs could all work well(ie black and yellow). What kind of water? fast/slow? Really this has more to do with were the fish are holding and feeding on and getting to them. A sinking tip line or other wise has the ability to allow you to use an unweighted fly that will look more natural in its drift or swing by not needing a weight added to it. What size leader/tippet and strength? A two or thee foot section of mono/florocarbon only. I like to use mono four to eight lb depending on water clarity and or the size of flies that I am using. Just my limited but productive experiences with tip and full sinking lines. Good luck and tight lines. ps I really have enjoyed throwing a classic feather winged streamers in the mornings and having them tear'em up. At the parks. lol
  7. Think I need to get there soon
  8. Acrylic/ clear plastic sheets cut to fit the bottom. Paint there undersides white and seal the edge with clear silicone. No need to worry about paint leaching or scratching if its not in contact with the water. hope that helps
  9. Thanks for the number MOFISH its now in the phone along with GAMETHIEF number.
  10. Thats cool!!! Personally get where you are coming from I have A niece that I would love to help become a Flyfishing "Banker Princess"(her daddy helped her think of that one). She is gonna be a big sister probably any day now so maybe she can help get her little bro hooked also. So I bookmarked your link. Thanks
  11. Shure is Let me know if ya wanna split gas?
  12. A Double surgeons knot some times triple if say going from very large to very small diameters, and I wet all knots before pulling them tight.
  13. Good report Mike! Sounds like it was even better fishing.
  14. When I think spinners I think dead mayfly duns.
  15. WOW those are great prices. Now I gotta figure out which of those are big enough for my gigantic bucket of a head.
  16. LMAO....or one could see about borrowing Trav's varmint eater. I would have some more tying materials already.
  17. It sure does !! And if your night fishing in single digits with 15+ mph winds (new years eve ) The heated bath room it self makes a good place to stop before a healthy serving of Leonard's Special Coffee. I found my self keeping the gloves tucked away. And Hand warmers zipped up in my fishing jackets taped seemed hand pockets. When one hand got cold from releasing a fish I would wipe it dry with the glove and stick it bare in the warm pocket. For a few moments while starting another drift just hold the fly line with the rod hand and wait for another tug.
  18. Ok all flies are in and will be going out tomorrow. Dano and Roland if you read this please send me a PM with your address got your email but no return address included.
  19. I noticed lots of rather feisty fighters quick to recover and hard to ware out.
  20. "As often as needed ! " I think trailing it behind a attractor fly. ie A Zebra midge dropped off a egg pattern. Or a thread or loop wing midge drifted behind another larger strike indicator dry.
  21. Thanks for the switch Phill. No problems with speed and man the sight looks great.
  22. Well I finally made it home. After a couple of naps a rest stops. O'Boy I'm getting old only 24hrs of fishing, eating, and shivering and I'm really pooped. Seem to have misplaced a pair of Hemos anyone find them? Had a great time caught lots of fish (lost count by 2am on the first) and a few nice ones also. Ummm seahorses, smoked chicken, spicy meatballs, fried fish and sides galore. Fishing under fireworks(flashing lights don't attract squid do they?), lots of Laughs, stories, and fishing with friends new and old. AWESOME, JJ
  23. Biggest trick I know is to keep thos gloves dry or have at least one pair as backups
  24. I have had good food there before . But I think sometimes all cooks just get bored, lazy, or other wise off there game in general. And if I feel that any of those things are the case. I will send the food back. To serve something that you would not eat that is not excusable if they are professionals. Besides If no one complains then nothing ever changes. However if I am not going to be able to find something or someplace else to eat. I will be very careful about how I do it. I don't want any extras. If you know what I mean.
  25. I wear wool fingerless gloves that have a pullover mitten. Also have the straight fingerless ones. If I am stripping line in cold weather. I'll sometimes were latex gloves underneath.
