  1. I really enjoy OAF. but this function has never reliably worked here. Funny thing is once or twice I have gotten a flood of notifications from way back.
  2. Nice work Taxi One proud looking specimen. And new owner I am sure.
  3. Great photos !!!
  4. I gotta better idea. Lock up criminals for the laws already on the books. This law will not work. (.) Keep the feel good, pushed by some guy who wants to make a buck from his ammo stamp idea, backed by those who woulds rather there be no guns but that darn constitution keep getting in there way so they will take the long way around and overprice the ammo legislation and get creative on where to file it next because it wont fly in Missouri.
  5. Rep. Joan Bray: D-St. Louis County (84) Mo's favorite gun grabber. Tried to introduce this crap tastic bill in Missouri last year it never made it out of committee. Would predict it to be reintroduced but as of yet it hasn't. This is a crock. As is any gun control law. Criminals don't follow the law. Make new laws for whom to follow? O ya only the law abiding. Makes about as much sense to me as blaming spoons for obesity. Current proposed bills link http://www.house.mo.gov/content.aspx?info=...091/billist.htm
  6. Yep and they work better when they are not the attached type.
  7. If you like the angle of grip on one glock you will most probably like it on all of em. I use a Glock 30 45acp for every day carry. And really like it. Its been a ammo hog(eats any and all loads I have tried since day one. And many reports that I have read claim that its one of the best in the amount of perceived recoil. While wider than a single stack 1911 it makes up for it in capacity 10+1.
  8. dano you see this page on the same sight? House fly attacked.
  9. Cool pics Terry well done. I'll check and see If any I shot turn out decent. Should be lots of pictures. Seemed like as many cameras as fly rods at this NYD event.
  10. Linky ? Never mind found it after I posted added Here Yep. Was GREAT weather for January. Was FUN meeting new people with similar interests. THANKS Leonard for helping me focus my search vs. worrying and skipping lunch do to appetite loss. http://forums.ozarkanglers.com/uploads/emoticons/default_biggrin.png' alt=':D'> TO the many fish caught and released, ALL my gratitude.
  11. Sorry to poke but your previous post said that you would explain after you were calm so hopefully no secondary pangs from fishing withdraws. That sucks man when you get another chance to get away. Let me know if you will need help remembering how many long distance releasees you had. poke #2 Rich really seemed to need this trip all. Think that we should plan on a get together in the summer down at Taney so he shouldn't have to wait so long? And I could fish at night for once with out body parts still tingling when I get home. thoughts The tips of the two outer fingers on my line hand. for you with the mind in the gutter. (tries to avoid poke)
  12. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well a smile like those will be/are priceless. I think I need to adopt/mentor a younger fishin pal to take down there now that I think about it. No kids of my own but I'm already keeping my ears open for a toddler fly casting class or instructor for the 3yr old niece and her little brother....lol
  13. now I really don't know weather this is correct but, I believe that Blues are a fuderally protected bird much like the eagle. No possession of any part anywhere any time kinda deal... ie feathers for tying some classics but like I said I don't really know for sure. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Migratory_Bir...aty_Act_of_1918
  14. Yep! I am going to try and be out of here at about noon NYED. Should put me to the darn at about 4pm. I'll give ya a call. Once I am on the road.
  15. Yep. It was my first book on fly fishing. The thing is so worn I had to put tape on it to keep its spine and cover in place.
  16. Oh I'm looking at it and will get up there someday. But its gonna be a long ways off. Unless someone needed a wood chopping dish washing ect. ect. ....lol
  17. 1. Casting to a particular rising fish. I always enjoy the seconds before a hopefully well timed rise while midge fishing for instance. 2. swinging a wet fly or soft hackle possibly a streamer. Maybe a whole team or set of them. I really like to get upstream and use mending to present that fly parallel a fish. Really seems to bring out the predator in them. 3. hopper and dropper Once again this is really about the possibility of the unexpected. Where will the take happen? The surface ,nymph, midge. Or possibly maybe more than one at a time.
  18. It's keep it zipped or my head exploding about the entire statement made before mine.
  19. Just finished mine will bring them and a S.A.S.O. to the News Years Eve/Day get together. If that's OK?
  20. Not mine I just had never heard of the pattern so I ripped a picture from google. Not that its not deer but my guess would be Elk tho seems too thick and awful light colored for the deer I have experience with.
  21. Is this a/your red serendipity?
  22. I'm in with a peacock and partridge soft hackle
  23. It was a cool video but I liked one of your others also. lol
  24. Great news Don and your positive attitude regarding its possible loss. Leads me to believe that it was no accident in your returned good fortune Unless your talking length, weight, or numbers of actual fish.....lol
