Seems like we find them in the same areas only not as deep. Maybe in the 15 to 25 foot range. And by areas I mean points, drop-offs near flats, channel bends. Near brush piles in those same depths.
Thanks for this detailed report. Gonna be there in late September so need to start gathering info now. Which Bandit series are you using, 100, 200, 300, other?
Funny you would mention that feature. The only other boat I have seen that on so far is Ranger. Is Nitro now cribbing from Ranger's playbook which they can do since they own Ranger.
Beautiful boat, those wind screens are wicked looking. Watched the walk through and I was freaking amazed at all of the innovative stuff they put in that boat. Bass Pro has absolutely done their homework on this boat and I assume it will make it's way to their entire line of boats.
I know what will work in the cold months. Jigging rap, designed for ice fishing which you will be doing but without the ice.

Yes, and I too love to use spoons. In fact was schooled by the very person whose name appears on the one you're holding (assuming it is a Binks spoon).
Probably wrong but would think it will get tough in the colder months using that spoon. You say "a spoon" so maybe there are other spoons that fall slower and flutter more. If not then you can always tip it with a minnow or worm.
Have some too but only used them once and didn't catch anything. Believe they SHOULD work though. They seem to work like magic on those fishing shows. I do use crappie nibbles by berkley and swear by them for crappie.
Walleye Dan? Great vid, I can't get away to fish very often and your video's remind me that I need to try harder to find some time off.
Happy Father's Day to all you dads!
Tie the 3 way directly to my main line then I put a snap (not a snap swivel) on the pencil weight (pencil weights don't have a bend) and the leader. Then just clip directly to the 3 way swivel. Never had a problem with my leader or main line getting twisted.

If you're not (knot) snelling your hooks, you should. It gives you increased knot strength plus, a properly snelled hook increases your chances for a solid hook up. I found a you tube video with the easiest method of doing this. Just make sure the line comes out of the eye on the hook side.
Gonna try rigging some on 10 lbs test to see if that makes a difference in the bite. I know it should make a difference on getting it back when I get hung up.
Best way to prevent twist is to use T-turn swivels from Thundermist lures. They work great.
