Thanks VIP, that is the place I was looking for. Thanks for the directions. ZZ

Thanks Capn but I think I was mistaken(again). I think I may have meant Davey Hollow. No wonder It didn't look right on the maps. Where I put in before was close to horseshoe bend. Sorry! ZZ

This Is kind of embarrassing, but I forgot how to get to PB2 by the road. (from Springfield) Can someone point me in the right direction. Sad thing is I have put in there 2 times before. This C-R-S thing is getting bad. Any bass fishing advise is welcomed too. Are fish making nests, on nests, water temp, type of baits, up the Gravois. Thanks in advance ZZ

Culling 5lb fish "just didn't seem right" Fred told me. Those 2 guys are good on about any lake they are on. Impressive weight guys. ZZ

I'm a huge fan of the Veritas too.I like it better than my Kistler. After looking at the Falcon Original Series I don't see a hook hanger. One of the reasons I got a Veritas over the Falcon Boocoo rod was I do not like those kinds of hook hangers it has. I been wondering if anyone has been fishing the Micro guide rods in this cold weather? Do they freeze up as bad as regular guides? ZZ

Not saying you were wrong but did you take the readings "42 on the rocks and 38 on the main points" right after you threw the trolling motor over? The air temp may have lowered the reading. But, that is the readings I got on Stockton today. 39 in the AM 42 when we left. Just sayin. ZZ

My favorite under$100 is the Abu Garcia Veritas. I also have 2 Medium heavy Kistler rods way over $100 but I like the Veritas rods better. Especially for jigs, plastic, spinnerbaits and shakeyheads. Just Sayin! ZZ

I have fished this series for the last 3 years, and always look forward to it. As for the late take off I attribute that to the lake being 5 to 6 ft under normal pool, in a narrow cove, narrow divided ramps and parking at Little Button. Not the director. He is working the bugs out and I am willing to go along for the rest of the season. The competition is really a good bunch of fishermen. My partner and I had 18 keepers Sunday, littlest being 15" and didn't draw a check. That ought to attest to the competition being of very high quality. So All in all I think the Winter bass Brawl is still a real good series. ZZ

Got my stickers in the mail yesterday. Thanks Mr Lilley

I just tried to order mine using the link above, but I'm not sure it went through, it may have timed out or something. Guess I'll have to just wait and see. ZZ

Those Okies done well. Good job Bill! Think I'll dig my Eskimo Joes sweatshirt and OSU shirt out and tie on a Redfin. LOL! Wait I already got 2 tied on. And a "Thank You Guys" for taking pics and turn them back to the wild. ZZ

Like others I too was out in that mess Saturday. We had made it up to the back of Jannings when I saw it coming. I told my partner we better get back closer to the weigh in in Aunts Creek since we had a limit..We took off in my lil Skeeter and only got to the mouth of the James when it hit and we were with no place to hide. We struggled with side winds lifting the front till we made the buoys at Aunts Creek. With the wind at our backs we sailed down Aunts.LOL! We finally made a little pocket with a dock (one half empty stall) we got under so we could do some Culling. Once it lightened up a little we loaded the boat with and hour to go. I was glad to be on solid ground. Will be a nice story for the later. ZZ

Nothing wrong with your portapotty Idea there Mizz Donna. I wouldn't go to LOZ without mine I got from being in hospital last time LOL!\ ZZ

Thanks I'll give it a try ZZ

Thanks all you. That is exactly the kind of info I was looking for. I will give it a go this weekend and try the grubs. Ohh one other thing comes to mind, I was thinking about throwing grubs on a baitcaster with 10 lb test line. Would that be the way to go? Thanks for all the replies, I greatly appreciate it. ZZ
-
Shouldn't it be about time to throw grubs. I was going to try to fish them more this year and was needing advice on size, weight, color and type of banks. Any advice? Thanks ZZ

I'd agree with the Captain and motoman (if you are planning to catch, picture, and release) on both the Rock and Bull. Just check the backs of coves and creeks while throwing a super fluke and if you have to catch a bedding fish please put him back. ( I don't think they mind having their Picture taken) Good luck ZZ

Humminbird Side Imaging And Down Imaging Pic's
zzjonze replied to Don House's topic in Table Rock Lake
Wow fantastic pictures Mr House. Thanks for posting them. ZZ -
Thanks a lot Captain Joe. I have been looking into the Lowrance® HDS-5 Fishfinder/GPS Chartplotter with Lake Insight™ and StructureScan. I also been looking into the reviews and seems like a few (very few) have complaints. After seeing the pictures you posted I think I'd put the Lowrance unit on my boat. What I'd like to see is some pictures of a school of fish, in or out of structure. So if possible could you please take a snapshot and point out when you got time. Thanks very much for the pictures already posted. ZZ

Ya know Mr Babler, it is good (for me) to hear your fishing reports sir good and bad.To know It wasn't just me having a bad day on the water, makes me think I need to keep trying.I never had a bite all day. I often look for your reports to get an idea as to how to fish before I hit the water. On the funnier side though My partner and I got up early and drove to Stockton to fish the Winter Bass Brawl. When We got there as the sun was rising only to find the lake completely froze over LOL! So much for my research huh? So we turned and then drove all the way back down to Shell Knob and put in. We fished wiggle warts shallow, deep jig, lucky craft, rapala, and Tim Hughes custom baits and never got bit, while mostly keying on the bluff ends in that area. I guess we had a good Sunday roadtrip. Thanks for your report sir, it gives me a clue that it was just plain tough out there yesterday. ZZ

I like my 2 Kistler Magnesium rods best ( Not the new ones from bass pro). I purchased a new St Croix Mojo Bass rod that I like almost as well as my Kistlers I have had about every BPS rod made and 2 of the JM signature rods broke on me. One while just casting. As for BPS rods I would only buy the pro Qualifier, or the finesse rod . But I really got to give the new Mojo bass St. Croix rod a try for crankbaiting too. Will have to get back to you on that one after I fish it a while. However I wouldn't buy any rod from bass pro since they moved everything to the basement. If you go there and Walk miles around all through those dam tourists to look at a rods ya might want to take your sunglasses cause the lighting will blind your eyes, if you are looking at rods. (did me) ZZ

My Heart really goes out to this family too. I also think the corp should put solar power lights on EVERY Buoy and point marker on the lake from the launch fees they collect. Again it is sad for the family to loose a loved one...

There is a place to eat at on the best looking marina on Tablerock. at Cape Fair. ZZ

I agree with Whacked %100 in everything he said. I think 40 Mph to 45 would have been ideal MPH at night. It is pure Stupidity to run NAV lights while setting 50 feet off the bank or even 100 if you blink your lights for oncoming traffic. If a person is running 50 ft or even 100 off the bank at night then you really do not know what you are doing and DO NOT need to be out there at night. It would be crazy to run 50 feet from the bank even on a full moon. Most People can see a fisherman's boat while running(Even 40 MPH) at night by the blacklight near the bank. It's Not like us night fishermen are out in the middle of the lake drop-shotting or Spooning. When it comes down to it, us tournament fishermen are not only the safest people out one the water at night but the most experienced also. One thing before you say I am a "No good law-breaker" I wrote my representative and senator about this matter. HAVE YOU? ZZ It would be just awful to have to call the Water Patroll at 3AM with a dead battery.

Really Nice fish DoctaJ. I fished in the rain all day yesterday at LOZ. Had 8 or 9 Keepers, weighed in 14.99 pounds. Fish were caught on flukes and getzits. ZZ
