  2. i went out sunday night out of mill and was pretty tuff for me nothing to show for it. caught one short on bluff end and one short on long runout used salt craws and jigs. just wasn't my night. tried shallow to 40' deep just long slow night but will be back out later this week.
  3. i have been out once to fish nite since the hi water and had limited success(very limited). went out thur nite out of indian point caught 2 short on salt craw and that was it in 6 hrs of fishin the dark. thinkin about headin up lake and checkin it out tomorrow night.
  4. is ahoy's open to anyone or is it private was wondering how it worked there
  5. moonshine is closed, state park should be ok and indian point has limited space to park it gets crowded fast and you can go and put in at cow creek also is good to launch
  6. anything to help techo went to cow creek today threw the blade mostly with the wind and no luck on it moved out and tried some at the smj's nothing there either may not have been close enuf to dam but when storms rolled thru i ended up moving back into pockets and pitched brush hogs in watermelon candy and watermelon red ended up catchin a few lm on it but pretty tuff with the wind
  7. thanks Champ188 and johnm for the support plan on going back out tomorrow and givem hell again. i think i might fish around darn area. i will give a report when i get back. is anyone catching them in the backs of creeks or all main and secondary points
  8. how true that is the rock can knock you down but thats why they call it fishin not catching
  9. went out sunday put in at aunts about 5:30 started with fin spook and blade. nothing not even a looker water wasn't the best for top water but figured the blade would be the ticket(wrong). by 7:30 was backed out draggin jig, dr. and tube. never got a bite. fished til about 11. was a very humbling day on the rock. i think i will stay around dam. water a little better for my taste and the bite is alot better. wish i had a good report but sorry didn't produce any results
  10. i will tell them that techo not sure when i will go kinda waiting to see what the weather does storm wise
  11. thanks techo i kinda figured that aunts was one of your favs by reading previous post. did get out yesterday and put in at indian point. didn't get on water til 10. was slow for most part tried everything from tube to jig to blade. fished from bank to 40 ft. had a few on slow baits but by 3 or so i was noticing fish up shallow chasin so i threw a swimbait and blade an the fun began never left site of marina save a ton a gas. ii i found a spot where i could fish actual bank i got bite those fish were extremely shallow. caught lm, k's and smj's no big'uns but had a blast catchin them on balde and swimbait. lookin to go to aunts later this weekend techo may see you there look for maroon ranger
  12. was wondering if anyone has been fishing the aunts creek area or everyone been stayin in the dam area after the smallies. was wondering if the smallies or any fish for that matter was bitin the area tryin to save gas you know. 4 bucks a gallon just tryin to make my dollar go farther thanks johnboy

  15. well i havent been to norfork for a few years and i know how those ramps are around there. was looking to come down and fish all i was askin was with all them boats where was a person to launch. but all i got was a couple of smart azz remarks i think i will stay at the house and spend my money elsewhere. fished that tourny for years but due to job moved away thought about comin and fishin but after those comments i think i will just stay home and fish somebody elses benefit. good luck
  16. champ188 is right about reel line capacity. i buy extra spools and when i need to use c-rig with bigger baits i have a spool with 30# braid and tie on my swivel then leader. it as allowed me to detect those real soft bites. i was just looking on ebay and some of the older curados are really affordable. those are the ones that i think most anglers really liked i have four of the old green ones and 3 of the new ones just not sure which i like i guess but all are good reels
  17. I'm not sure what night I am goin but one day this week for sure. I will let you know
  18. i like use a falcon low rider 6-10 eakins jig rod equiped with a shimano curado reel for 1/4 to 5/8 c-riggin the dr or hog. the rod has an incredible tip for that presentation i have found the reel handles small line really well when necessary. and if i need to go up in weight then i go to a falcon low rider 7 heavy action rod for bigger stuff with still the shimano reel. that is what i use but i bet there is prolly a hundred other guys with hundred other different combos with the resurgence of $100 rods and good reels what a person wants and can get is endless i have had falcon for years and if there were ever any problems they have always taken care of it i have been using ebay to find some good deals on curados too
  19. nice report glad to here you had a good trip out. did you fish mostly clear water? i had fished clear last week and had a blast myself
  20. nice to here some are hittin the blade was thinkin about given the night blade a try this weekend. thanks for the report Sprint21fter
  21. are the back of the creeks starting to clear up any
  22. IS CYSTIC TOURNEY STILL ON WITH ALL THEM BOATS THERE IS NO WAY THERE IS ENOUGH PARKING
  23. watermelon seed tube and watermelon pearl on the fluke i tried white and smoky shad but watermelon pearl seemed to work the best. of this is table rock and it can change in a heart beat
  24. north ramp at aunts is open. just talked to gate there and it is good to go so is cow creek, mill creek, baxter, viola and state park, not sure about any others those are the ones i got an answer at gate or entrance to park
  25. was one of those days that keep you coming back to the rock. i figured with bluebird skies i would just be enjoying the hi water. was i wrong. i got on the water about 10:30 after gettin baby to granmas. went to first spot, long runout fished shallow for awhile with nothing. had to give it a chance. moved out and set boat out deep. the fun then began. stayed on the deep bite the rest of the day. used dr. tube and weighted fluke. most fish came on texas rigged dr. had it rigged using the lightest sinker the conditions would allow. mostly 3/16 would work it from visable tree line back to boat. boat was sitting in 30 to 35 ft as for the tube tried it with jig head but after loosing a few went to rigging it texas also with lightest sinker the light weight seemed to help the bait come thru cover easier it was a bit harder to feel some times but was worth it as for the fluke in the evening i rigged it with swim bait hook and would cast toward or between the out edge of trees and brush. would let if disappear the slowly twitch back to boat.had to watch line closely as most bites came on pause all would see would be line jump when you got bite never caught any giants, but caught a bunch of short smj and k's but in the evening caught lm on fluke. ended up with maybe 30 fish total with 8 keepers. CAN'T WAIT TO GET BACK!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK AND DONT LET THE HI WATER GET YOU DOWN
