I haven't been that far up. The fish I have been catching are 17-20' deep on or close to points. Are they in the brush up that way or have they moved out?

looking good I couldn't tell the water color. How is it? Are the courtesy docks in place at both ramps?

I decided to put in at Hartley. The DNR has the courtesy dock pulled out and you have to use the alternate one. I'm glad s-I-l was there as the truck had to be backed wayyy into the water to float the boat. Would have been wet feet and pants with only one person. We fished around the area and over in Hawker. We never got anything around the brush so I left and headed toward the dam. Still did not get any takers so I opened up the locker and pulled some Ned setups out, pulled out to deeper water and spent the rest of my time casting and drifting the Ned. We caught a variety of fish. S-I-l caught 5 varieties in his first 5 fish. We wound up catching 23 bass with the best one being a spot that was close to 16". That is one of the biggest spots I have ever caught on Stockton. The fish were in 15-20 fow with most being around 20. I'm kind of surprised that they have been so close to 20' for over 2 weeks.

That second one could be a meanmouth. It kind of resembles both the smallmouth and spot from the pic. I hope to get back on the water in the morning fishing from Hartley to the dam.

I like to use the 3/4 head with a 4/0 hook on one of these baits that I make.

Pomme had the best population that I had ever seen until about 2008 then there were none. I'd sure hate to see that happen again. They are so much fun to catch.

It has been a week since I have been on the water. While there I caught a bunch of brown fish with some spots thrown in. I only had 3 green fish in 10 days. I plan to go back tomorrow. Are they back in the brush or are some of them out on cover or structure? I plan to fish from Mutton Creek to the dam.

They are supposed to be medium light fast but I think they are medium. They are 6'6" long. They are unmarked so I don't know what label would have been on them.

I recently got some rods from a factory rep. I bought them hoping that they would be Ned rods. I tried them and they are too much rod for that. They are unmarked factory samples. I have no use for them so I want to sell them. I will take $30 each or sell the pair for $50.

Haven't been south of Hawker but from there to the dam I have only seen 2 floating trees and that was several days ago. There could be if we get much rain tonight or Friday night.

Personally I don't like the collar on a jig. It is too hard to tie and I don't care for the looks. If you want a bit of build up put on some chenille. These jig are tied straight to the hook with some chenille added. The only ones I don't put chenille on are my Float n Fly jigs.

Roark has 2 parking lots. There is usually plenty of room at Stockton public use and Crabtree Cove.

It seems to be getting a little tougher every day. I can still find the brown fish on old Ned but the size is getting smaller. We only had 1 keeper Wednesday . I guess the green fish are in the brush but I haven't found any yet.

I am finding smallmouth in 20 f ow.

I saw 68 to 70 today from Hawker to dam.

That is similar to the way I am finding it except I rarely find anything shallower than 20'.

It is slowing down. We fished all day for 26 bass and only had 2 keepers.

Guy camped across the road says he is whacking eyes in 20 fow. We had 2 keeper eyes today also 20'.

A friend joined me today. We didn't have a bite for the first hour. We started catching a few on the 4th spot. We caught whites walleye crappie and 30 bass. We only managed 3 keepers but one was a 4# brown fish.
