  1. The 30 mph has been around for several years on larger lakes. Some guys I know with "lead hands" have quit fishing night tournaments because of getting several speeding tickets on Table Rock. They don't have to spend much fuel just run a radar gun at a confluence area. I don't mind the 30 because my boat will plane at 25 mph so 30 is ok. It gives me time to look around at shore lines and keep my eye on the sonar and gps units. In my experience, most of the people on the waters where I fish are running close to the speed limit at night. Of course all of God's little creatures don't have common sense and I don't go to LOZ.
  2. We have had the 30 mph night limit for a while. They give out several tickets on TR every year. I for one would like to see the alcohol rule be changed to none on board. I have had some close calls from drunken operators on TR and Stockton.

    Woo Pig!

I say that you guys should get very involved in those games thus you won't be on the water cluttering up the banks.
  4. The bite at Stockton has been good. A bud of mine had 60 bass with 6 over 4# one day last week. They were on spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, cranks and tops as well as several plastics.
  5. Ken, I could probably get my "comes by tech" to work on it if you still need to get it fixed. Let me know and I will see what I can work out.
  6. If you plan to keep on fishing then you don't need to do anything. If you will have some down time then use a fuel stabilizer. I never stop fishing thus I don't use anything in my gasoline. With the ethanol in the gas you probably should be looking at adding a water seperating fuel filter to your motor.
  7. Maybe I just got lucky but mine is fine.
  8. I have an ACER flat screen and really like it.
  9. Does converted mean drilled and ported with over sized pistons?
  10. The method of spooling on line can help to keep line from twisting. You can be sure that it comes off the way it is wrapping on or take it off the top. If you need additional work on the line then put a good ball bearing swivel on it and walk off your line. Hold the line by your finger and thumb of the off hand and crank back to the swivel. You may need a cloth or glove to keep the friction down as you reload the spool. Then use Real Magic or some other line conditioner before you go.
  11. I use flurocarbon line for smallmouth fishing. I have it in 8/10/15 # test.
  12. The trolling motor probably needs some work.
  13. If you will research catch and release you will find that Ray Scott invented it. It was a publicity gimick to make his tournaments look better. Now people have bought into the hype. Morals and ethics don't enter into this equation. If it is legal and I want to eat it I will. I rarely eat any of the black bass because of the way they smell. I do eat some other species and with the cost of fuel I may start eating more.

    Mystery Fruit?

    Could it be vining OKRA.
  15. I pretty much saw the same thing last week.
  16. How are you rigging those tubes? I use tubes quite a bit and don't have much ripping problems.
  17. You people must know the secret. I saw a lot of crappie trollers there this weekend and the proud one had 3.
  18. Lots of times you won't get much of an arch on the trolling motor mounted units. You have to be moving along for a good arch to show up.

  20. Put a couple of thermacells in your boat to keep the bugs away and the bats should not be there either.
  21. A friend of mine drove the 100 miles down there and caught 6 crappie. That was enough to keep me home because the last time I was there I had 7 crappie and not a single white.

  23. I can't even find the livewell in only 3 or 4 hours let alone fish. That seems like a luck thing to me. You are either on them or you are not. JMHO.

    I Love To Grow!

I haven't had that wilt stuff in 15 years on my tomatoes but it is there this year. I blame the excess rain. It is also drowning all the stuff I plant on the lower end of the garden.
  25. When you leave the Cedar Ridge cove heading toward the Campers' ramp the left hand bank has at least 50 brush pile along it. Use your depth finder and locate them. There are also dozens of them in the big old ramp cove as well as to the east of Adams branch.
