I saw on tv this am where a town north of Joplin got over 9" of rain last night.

The Soil and Water Conservation people work with farmers who may live several miles from a stream but whose land is part of the water shed. They assist in planning and implementing programs to cut down on erosion, chemical use and establish habitat for wildlife. They really are helping MO water ways out even though you may not be able to see the results for yourself.

I heard that the Little Sac was closed above the 245 bridge because one of the towers had collapsed. Is it still closed or have they fixed the problem?

What does Stockton look like where the Turnback comes into the Big Sac? Anyone seen it lately?

I have seen 3 caught by crappie fishermen; an 11, a 13 and a 20.

I have never seen a pickerel in MO. I didn't know that we had them. I have caught them in other states while fishing for bass. They really liked spinnerbaits.

I like the ones with the little clip that you slide your line into. I use from 1/8 to 1/2 ounce depending how deep the water is. -
We used to catch them an night in the creeks by hand using just flash lights. If you decide on a trap, be sure to look up the rules because they used to be pretty specific. A good bait for them is bacon.

One thing you should be sure of is your ground. Ground both to the truck frame and the trailer frame. The most common and frustrating lighting problem I have ever had is ground problems.

I saw yesterday on tv that Missouri ranks #3 in the USA in boating accidents. Surely LOZ and all the crazy that goes on there must be what has us so high.

I am not sucking up to anyone. I just happen to know some guys who catch more in a month than most of the people catch in a year and this guy may be one of them. After all, who am I to doubt him. If I posted all my trips you would probably be on me like a duck on a junebug, so far there have been a little more than 1500 game fish come into my boat this year. If you would keep quiet and be more respectful, he might just let you in on a little more info.

How are you dealing with gas prices?

I switched to diesel a few years ago when it was much cheaper than gasoline. Then it went up. Now it is back cheaper. As for the boat I choose my launch sites and don't do much running + I keep the speed down. I rarely do WOT anymore. -
What's not to believe. I know a guy from Lead Hill who caught over 100 keepers out of one tree last summer. There are some really good fishermen out there that the general public knows nothing about and doesn't have a clue as to the numbers and sizes they catch. I'll just bet this is one of them.

It's hard to say since you did not mention which model of boat and what brand of engine. It does seem quite high for a 12 year old boat. I haven't been there yet this year. We caught gobs of them on the main lake points last night.

Hunter the main lake at night is starting to pick up. We had many, many fish the other night. We caught whites, largemouth, smallmouth, Kentuckies, and walleye. They were mostly on points about 15' deep.

It makes on sense but there are signs which state no fishing with 200 feet of the marina. At state park there are signs stating no fishing within the breakers but lots of people do. I was ordered off like that once at a boat dock and I told the person to call the water patrol and we would get a good idea of who controlled what on government property. No one ever came.

I ordered a card from them which has lots of local lakes as well as ARK. OK. TX. -
I have been in on several good days and am expecting a whole lot more though they may be post spawners down stream a bit.
