Hey Wrench, or anyone else with knowledge on the subject. On an 87 Ranger 360 V do the rub rails attach with rivets or screws? Mine is shedding "rope fibers" and not looking good. How labor intensive is it to replace them? Any tips or if I was doing this job advise would be greatly appreciated. Can you just replace the "rope" with out pulling the entire rail? Thanks

Go to ladies section at Walmart, get 10 pairs of cheap stretch gloves for 3.99. If they get wet change to another pair. Can still feel and keep my hands warm, when a hook snags them throw that glove away or very little expense. I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to keep my hands warm while fishing and hunting. This is the most economical and warmest option I have found that I can cast and feel bites with.

So you can pull the shaft and cut it down and use the same mounting and brackets all stay the same. Basically what I am asking is are the mount, bracket and hardware the same on a 45" Ultrex and a 60" Ultrex?

I recently tried the Nutech Jigs, I am very impressed with the quality of the heads, skirt and hooks. The jigs are a very good product and would recommend them, the claims of hooking in the rood of the mouth are very much true as well. I have caught around 30 fish all spots and largemouth and all hooked in the roof and were not coming unbuttoned. I even tried to get one to shake off due to being a short fish and I had to grab the little bugger and unhook him. I know the owner is a local guy and a frequent contributor to OAF and want to say thanks for a great product and encourage anyone looking for a quality local made product Nutech will make you happy for sure.

Heard that as well, I think it was Luke Dunkin mentioned it on one of his shows. Just as soon Ike retired I am tired of its a giant, and the running around the deck for 2lb largemouth. But those guys are all excellent sticks that can catch them anywhere.

I agree, steering is life and death do not skimp. Sea Star system I installed was straight forward and easy to install. I love it. It does require regular checking and inspections.
