  1. Is that color Elegy Bone?
  2. The dollars that are spent on trout tags not only support management for the fisheries that offer a decent experience, but also for the bucket brigades in the Lou and KC. Which needs more attention? Does James A Reed in KC need trout in it or would those trout be better served in the Niangua or Meramec? The Meramec trout numbers have been abysmal, but they drive over it to dump the fish in St Louis. I don't care if you like urban fisheries, they're not my thing either, but you have to understand that they could spark a love for trout fishing, driving a guy to spend his weekends in the Ozarks and eventually find the champion of the Ozarks, the smallmouth bass.
  3. Forgive me if misunderstand you, but you get pissed because people don't revive fish that are destined to die in two months regardless of whether they are revived or not? Do you spend the ten minutes to revive a bass you catch or just toss it back in? How about a bluegill? This hypocrisy is what makes me cringe.
  4. You are speaking of perceived threats to our shores, not actual threats like Japan in the 40s or the al Qaeda or Taliban folks on 9/11. There's no reason to preemptively strike other nations who are posing no threat to our shores. I would be all for closing a large percentage of our foreign bases and bringing troops home. We are spread too thin and still occupy the nations we have had action against. This would also save us billions each year. If kids these days don't know the significance of 9/11, educate, do not ridicule. It isn't your job to look down on kids who don't comprehend the importance of that day.
  5. Sounds like a new line of ML or L power casting rods should be forthcoming...
  6. This is spot on. When you float clear water streams, it is those long, deep, slow bends in the river that you will float over the top of some of the largest bass you'll see. Unless you make long casts from downstream though, you're unlikely to hook one though.
  7. Al, it is things like this that have me jealous of you folks living in the Ozarks.
  8. The mouth appears to be too small.
  9. Bluegill/pumpkinseed perhaps. Maybe just a gill/longear. I'm not sure where redbreasts live in Missouri, but that fish lacks the mouth of the redbreast sunfish.
  10. Mitch, let me know when these are available. What colors will you be selling?
  11. Yep. The guide should have been aware of the current record and the fact that he thought they were close enough to warrant getting it checked.
  12. I love it Mitch, that is a good one. Abe Lincoln isn't sure, judging from the look on his face. Maybe his one fake eye is causing depth perception issues.
  13. Andy and Mitch, can you get your cyber rulers calibrated please? That fish is just under 24.5" and has a massive girth as we can see. It weighs 9# 3 oz and ate seventeen crawdads for lunch today. You cynical bastards.
  14. You don't understand either do you? I asked why "Crocker", using his name as a synonym for wack job lunatic needed access to one. Read the post again and you'll understand what I said. Regardless of what that other futz thinks I said, I never once put one in his hands.
  15. If you read, he said own A fiream, not an AR15. You can own the AR15, as mentioned above, but it must be in sporting configuration. Perhaps your anger clouded your vision, or you didn't read the above post or the laws which you have butchered. Have a nice day.
  16. They just sold fellas. Thanks everyone for the interest.
  17. Had you read, your entire response wouldn't have been necessary. No Smally, politics, while fun for an outsider, not for me. I love to observe, but being involved isn't something that would interest me. Also, a Democrat in Kansas? I'd have a better chance of convincing these folks that the earth was flat.
  18. If you use your vast amount of hillbilly comprehension, I initially asked why "Crocker" needed access to one, not him specifically. Obviously you can't read. You also asked if he had a FULL AUTOMATIC M4, or was it just an automatic implying you either can't read (common theme here) or didn't know the difference. You couldn't comprehend using his name as a reference point for all backwoods vigilantes rather than speaking of him directly. You skimmed my last response and missed the last little bit. Someone, somewhere mentioned automatic weapons and their regulation pertaining to certain states banning modifications to weapons and automatics in general. My comment on that was to illustrate to the audience here that the public doesn't need to access automatics at all. This is the crux of our situation here. Keep on selling whatever expertise you are selling and I will continue to ignore it. Ciao.
  19. FnF, are you being serious? Semiautomatic weapons have no option for automatic fire. Automatic weapons have the option for either semiautomatic fire or automatic fire. In some instances, there is an option for burst fire. There is NO difference between automatic and fully automatic. You seem to think there is, yet that reveals your lack of knowledge. Wayne, you are correct in that he didn't have an automatic, rather a handgun per the information I have seen. Somewhere someone mentioned automatics and something along the lines of certain states' bans on weapons of certain types.
  20. They shouldn't ban guns with the appearance of being an automatic without verification first. Anyone who is mechanically inclined can take an AK platform weapon and replace the necessary components to make it an automatic weapon. I have no problem with automatics being restricted to military or something along those lines. Why does a "Crocker" need access to a automatic M4? Is it to defend himself against the government and their jets and drones?
