Hey all, again. I have been absent from here for a few months due to work and not having time to do anything when I am home. I took a job in November as a railroad contractor out of Kansas City to hopefully build experience to get a job on the main line in a couple years, but I hate the schedule. When I work, I am out of town for a week or more at a time and when I am home, I spend every waking hour with my son and daughter. I haven't even replaced the brakes on a Bronco I was given two months ago yet. I hope to be more active as I can now tote my laptop with me on the road, but I have been reading quite a bit on here and see the same characters. Sorry for my absence, I know you all miss me, especially you Al.

Vicious Panfish Lo-Vis Green 4# is on my ultra light and I have Siege Elite clear 6# on my Light action. The Vicious is enough line for smallmouth in gin clear water.

It is not anyone else's responsibility to let you know you are trespassing. It is your responsibility. Most Ozark folks are nice enough that if you ask or even play dumb, they will give you a pass on it.

Wrench, I feel you about not being able to afford health insurance and having ZERO nest egg built up. It absolutely sucks and in this economy, I am doing what I can with what I have. I travel to fish when I can and I enjoy it. I am hoping I can find a job that pays better someplace that is cheaper to live.

You and I have more in common than I thought. I, too, am short and a little portly. I am wearing a pair of cheapo Cabela's neos that I got for free...you know the saying, if it's free, it's for me. My current waders are about seven inches too long for me, so when I need new waders, I will probably pick up a pair of Simms or just go wet, 12 months a year. (joking)

It is not a myth, rather it is a truth that is seen in only a few. Those few, however, have caused most fly fishermen to be mis-imaged as a snob. OTF, you aren't a fly snob, you are one who is passionate about fly fishing. That is different than looking down at those who fish with a spinning or casting rod. I have largely quit fly fishing only to pick up a few more spinning rods to tackle the tasks at hand. I enjoy your input and hope to fish with you one day, but not for trout.

You all are asking for a list based upon a figure of speech. I have no list, was just wanting to stir the pot a bit. I have seen the elitist fly fishermen many times and they deliberately eschew gear fishing for the reason that it isn't sporting. It annoys me and I am not against someone using bait, fly or lure as long as it is legal. I am, however, against people looking down at someone as happened in Ollie's post.

Gabbert has all kinds of poise and he is very smart with his decisions. I can't say the same for Martinez. I think if we key a safety on Martinez and play nickel, it shouldn't be an issue.

Low water must be prevalent across the region. We floated the Little Niangua last weekend and it was extremely low and clear. Fish the deep holes and don't overlook any piece of cover.
