I think 3 or 4 would have done it had Yost left Shields in for the rest of the 6th. He was still pitching fine.

Salvy had swung at every low outside pitch up to that point he was bound to hit one! Not sure how you teach him to be more disciplined at the plate but until he can lay off a pitch I hate seeing him in the on deck circle. That game could have been over several times earlier but it seemed like he came up every time with a chance to win it. I must say I had very little confidence when he came up in the 12th.

Got the tix, they weren't cheap, would have been much cheaper in Anaheim, but I've had 29 years to save up!

Despite Yost somehow they pulled it off. He is possibly the worst manager to ever make the playoffs, I am looking forward to booing him in person Sunday, just need to secure a couple tickets and head north with the boy.

A home one game playoff scares me to death, the Royals can't hit a ball when the crowd is loud. Maybe have the crowd act like it is golf when we are batting. That being said it was fun last night, and I do hope for a one game playoff with Detroit, would love to win the division and get the Orioles instead of the Angels.

Don't remember the section on fully automatic squirrel hunting in hunter safety. I hate during deer season hearing 5 quick shots in a row because chances are a wounded deer is now running around somewhere. I love hunting with a cap and ball muzzle loader, you make sure you have a good shot and make that one shot count. That is the kind of hunting ethics I am passing on to my son. He is has taken 2 shots at deer and has 2 deer to show for it, we have had many deer in range that I wouldn't allow him to shoot because the ethical shot wasn't there. No matter what animal you are hunting, as hunters we have a responsibility to kill that animal as quickly as possible in an attempt to lessen their suffering, auto and semi-auto weapons go against this philosophy as a quick follow up shot shouldn't be necessary and seldom results in a clean hit.

Maybe true, but we shouldn't just bury our head in the sand unless we really don't care about the future generations. I really don't take it personally, but don't understand how intelligent people can deny that humanity is having a negative impact on the environment. I'm not sure we can fix it, but when we are long gone the earth will eventually heal itself, time means nothing to her.

The earth will heal itself in due time, the suffering we will cause our children and grandchildren is what disturbs me.

I know everyone on this forum is smart enough to realize that humans play a role in climate change (to what level can be debated), but for some reason you don't want to admit it. If in fact you aren't smart enough to realize it I apologize if I offended you.

I don't necessarily think we can fix the damage we have done to accelerate climate change, but to think we haven't played a major role in it shows the lack of common sense that is seen when economics vs. what is good for the environment comes into play. It is easier for us to live with the fact we are trashing the earth when we deny that we are really the ones doing it. It feels good to think it is just natural and the billions of people on the planet pumping carbon dioxide into the atmosphere at ridiculous levels really does nothing. Concentrating on clean air is what carbon taxes would do isn't it? The profits involved in putting carbon into the air prevents companies from willingly cleaning themselves up.

Those may be more likely, but won't bring us together like aliens would. Global war seems like the opposite of bringing the whole world together, although we would be together shooting each other I guess.

We need an asteroid or invasion by aliens to bring the world together.

Must sweep, I don't even want to see us in a one game playoff, and honestly the way they are playing, they would be embarrassed in a series.

Until a scientist can part the red sea, their "facts and figures" seem pretty far fetched to me.
