  1. Yes! They have a lot of great plans for the place. Stop in on your next trip and talk to Jim Newberry supt. They are doing a "soft" opening so you wont see much about it anywhere.
  2. We had a club meeting there Monday afternoon/evening and the supt gave a presentation and said they were going to get 5- 7 mil from the settlement. This is going to be a great put in/ take out for my canoes.
  3. Current River State Park is now open on Fr. Sat and Sunday till 8 pm. Its a great place with lots of history (former Alton club.). 2 Fishing lakes, hiking, river access. The park is just south of EE hiway on 19.
  4. 1/8th of 1% sales tax
  5. We could use more here for sure. The agents here , in Dent Co. make $41,748 and $39372 plus benes. Some in other counties make $60,000. $40 G's X 114 counties would be a big chunk of change.
  6. Has anyone gotten a felt ticket this year? We have 2 Conseveration agents in Dent Co. tho 1 is usually baby sitting elk on a regular basis. He has 2 in Crawford Co. i think the op called US forest service in Rolla to complain they wont give a rip about his private property. He needs to call the Stl office of MDC for Crawford Co. and the west Plains office for Dent Co.
  7. We did good down there this morning, too. How come you don't post those pics of Ozark hellbender eaters here like you do on facebook. I like seeing em....
  8. Those prices are not out of line. There are several canoe rentals for sale. I would love one of you guys buy one so we could get $20.00 shuttles.
  9. There was a bear in Rolla, yesterday.
  10. I have'nt ever had to report sales prices in any of the rural counties where I have bought property. The assessor sends out a form for self reporting. The paper work filed usually says something like "sold for one dollar and other valuable consideration". Wood land around here is selling for $700.00 to 2000.00 and pasture is 1000.00 to 3000.00 depending location, water...etc. Best bet is finding a good agent and woking with them everything is not listed on the web.
  11. I am getting too old to dodge lightning bolts! The only thing that scares me on over nighters.
  12. According to this report, you should go down stream a little futher. Dear Life Sherpa • Wading upstream on the beautiful Meramec River, halfway from Fenton to Eureka, I have encountered six naked ladies adrift on a hollow log. What to do? — Gangster of Love Read more: http://www.stltoday.com/lifestyles/columns/joe-holleman/sherpa-getting-over-those-senior-moments/article_a0990a94-b2a2-58e8-952c-1b6827c97f68.html#ixzz1r16ddAN1
  13. But if you read the report its is in there...
  14. I disagree. The geenies will stop the stocking of the brownies to save the Ozark Hellbender.
  15. Great idea! You first. We are right behind you!
  16. Even if you had a 1 brown limit in the park folks would still keep them. So instead of one guy keeping four you would have 4 guys keeping 1.
  17. Wait... Now we want the legislators involved in MDC regulations???...I am so confused. As a big fan of the endangered Ozark Hellbender I say eat more big browns. If anyone wants my recipe for smoked trout cheese give me a hollar.
  18. checked one of my honey holes yesterday. Nothing yet.
  19. Just didnt want you to get in any trouble there bro...
  20. Hey Ron You are not listed as a permitted outfitter on the ONSR. Is that an oversite on their part or yours?
  21. Edgar Springs got hit hard, also. The conoco is destroyed. Just wind and hail by the Current.
  22. Bee bluff is on the Current.
  23. It was great we had 65 entries 40 some odd finnished. Block won with avg. speed 81mph in a runaway. ok hijack over...
