The upper Current river is still looking good. Cedar Grove and Akers from this morning.

The road through the park is closed. Ranger Rick is posted at reeds cabins. The other three entrances are barricaded. They have finished removing sand and debris from the campground and are getting the electric up and running. The goal is still to be open on 03/01/2025. The fishing below the park has been very good.

Peak visitor season usually begins the day after the last day of spring trapping season and ends the day before gigging season, which would currently be April 1 - September 14 for 2024. The non-motorized zone on the Jacks Fork River would be from the western boundary of the park to the boundary at West Eminence. The seasonal non-motorized zone on the Current River would be from the northern boundary of the park to Round Spring.

The new rules look pretty good. No motors during float season and gives us upper river folks a HP boost!

Yep NPS did the access. The guy who bought the property at the top of the hill had it cleared for electric lines.

The boys have finished the boat launch at Baptist Camp. They removed the Fishing pier and sloped the bank for private boats to launch. The Outfitter launch is just upstream. Plenty of folks enjoying the Current river today.

Mine expires when I do. I bought the life time permit at age 60 for $60.00(they are $70 now) It includes Trout Permit, Migratory Bird Hunting Permit and Conservation Order Permit.

Southern Dent and Northern Shannon county roads were bad today but should be much better tomorrow. The good thing is I was the only one in The OZARK-NSR.

Yep, They shoot em with ARs til dead and bury them. They leave the hogs from the aerial shoots for the Eagles and Buzzards

I have season tics and live 2 hours away. We like to stay at the Weston because it is closest to our seats. The Weston is pricey, however the visiting team usually stays there and the after game bar scene is pretty cool. We usually reserve months in advance,though. The Hilton is close and not too bad Use the valet parking!
