That's a nice pair of Largemouth!
  2. We feel the same way about the Royals fans, we usually have more reason to celebrate!
  3. Why I like to fish cold weather! ?
  4. He's like a ghost!
  5. Speaking of blood work, I just had mine done and am way too close to diabetes for comfort. I started a diet and have lost 13 pounds in about 2.5 weeks. I feel better already
  6. None taken, thank you
  7. I'm a fan of Lew's as well. Thanks for posting
  8. Hair jigs, jerk baits, and even soft plastics work all winter long. The best time for a big fish is after an unseasonably warmer rain. The murkiness helps them to be less spooky. If you can watch the current flow closely and find a spot where patches of foam are not moving, in about 4-6 FOW, thats typically a good big fish spot. I wouldnt worry so much about line diameter or pound test unless its ultra clear...even then, not so much. Just break off on a few giants and that will convince you.
  9. Im like Phil, this is very intersting. Ive had the EXACT same irregular heartbeat my entire life and have just lived with it. Maybe its our Scotch Irish heritage Al! The doctors I've spoken to havent been too concerned, and told me just to live with it. I drink a bunch of coffee and maybe it would help if I stopped. Also interesting on the chemicals...My mother died of bladder cancer 2 years ago at age 88, the doctors asked me if she ever worked in an environment with certain chemicals, like solvents. I told him not that i know of. We all need to watch our sugar intake more than anything, I believe Sugar has been linked to cancer for sure. I remember talking with the doctors after finding out if my moms cancer had spread to her lymph nodes. He said the test they perform is basically inject a high dose sugar shot in her blood before an X ray. Her lymph nodes lit up like a Christmas tree. It was ceratinly horrible news. She was 88 and lived a great life, watching all her kids live happy, productive lives. Please watch your sugar intake everyone.
  10. Very nice!
  11. Tee hee, Political Correctness is nothing more than muzzling free speech… Something our country was founded on . check these Irish chicks out! Yes I love Prager U Even liberal Bill Maher agrees
  12. Agreed, But I do believe that this kind of teaching is echoed in many Universities across the US, as well as Canada. The PC epidemic is rampant
  13. When I see Al Agnew skillfully steering his solo canoe thru a complicated riffle, the first thing I think of is White Privilege, Genocide, and gender equality!!?
  14. Try telling that to a Chinese Tiger mom!??
  15. I looked this lady professor up and found these reviews
  16. Yea, I think the most damage is done at the Universities where PC is king. I used to think the term Academic was a compliment, not anymore. That word now should be translated to: "Sat on my arse for another 4 years". Unless you're in Engineering, or something equivalent, you will be endoctrinated with all this bullsh*t. I'm in a quandary right now on how to how to help my oldest decide her path. Where are our universities going? The cost is astronomical and you could easily spend $100K for an absolutely worthless generic degree. I'm sure many would almost rather send their kids to learn a trade. This higher education thing seems to be a bubble about to pop. Sorry, I'm venting
  17. Well, since this is what kids are taught in schools today, it's not too shocking?
  18. Has anyone noticed the displayed high def video of the World Series being almost like watching a 16mm highlight reel? Something just seems off, but I can't put my finger on it.
  19. The 2 of the best songwriters of all time: "The Silence of a falling star, lights up a purple sky...and as I wonder where you are, I'm so lonesome I could cry" And This: and last but not least, a very relevant song for this week: too bad this guy died of cancer way too early?
  20. That's so cool!!
  21. The Cops don't patrol on Sundays
  22. "If you have a business, you didn't build that!"
  23. You got it! I remember fishing on The Gasconade once in extremely clear water. I tied on an 1.5 oz Ledge Buster spinnerbait in a shad color. Conventional wisdom would've said no way. I caught several nice smallmouth 16-17" on it. Sometimes it's just a matter of trying something new and different.
  24. Excellent, thanks for sharing! On the first link, page 77 features a "White River craw".... looks no where near the white river.?
  25. Funny you mention that, I was just talking about this the other day. So the crawfish in the live wells are half digested and spit back up. I'm pretty sure the color they are in the live well is not a true representation of their natural color...just my take anyway.
