So I’ve only fished below Leadmine 2 times in my life. Once with GreasyB on this forum on an overnight trip and once with a friend, both times with a jet boat.
So I can’t agree or disagree with you, I can only give you my personal observations. There were numerous Amish right at the Leadmine access one the second trip. They were playing in the water, canoeing and just kind of having fun. Both trips I encountered them fishing below Leadmine, they were wading on the top side of a riffle in waist deep water and the stringers had fish on them. The stringers were basically floating on the top of the water and dangling in the current. I also noticed a couple of local guys who seemed to befriend the Amish. These 2 kids were probably late teens/early twenties and also had stringers of undersized smallmouth, like 12” fish. I knew there was no point of even saying anything to them. They drove a truck and pulled right up to the riverbank. But like I said, they seemed to befriend the local Amish guys. That’s all I’ve got but I saw it with my own eyes.
