My first 2 machines I ran were a Hardinge Lathe and a Bridgeport mill. I now have a high end smaller CNC mill. I use it to machine prototype molds for my lure business. It features a granite machine base as opposed to a regular steel base. This helps dampen vibration and protects from temperature changes. Also a closed looped glass scale system that overrides ball screw readings which makes it more accurate. A 30K rpm high speed German spindle (Jaeger) that can use end mills as small as .01” diameter. Those small cutters are used to cut the fine details of my baits. I also have a 4th axis that helps eliminate multiple set ups due to requiring undercutting. I use Fusion 360 for the tool path…with a Fanuc post processor.

@ness Cant decide which dish I liked the best of your post but visually the sausage gravy gets 1st place, followed closely by the clam soup. The 2 sauces for the prime rib usually enhance that dish by 1000%. Since I have diabetes I try to shy away from the breads but they look darn good. I’d get a huge bowl of that clam soup and go on Netflix and rent Fargo then all could discuss the differences between all the Scandinavians! 😂 ps. Marty has a lathe??
