    mercury bothers me quite a bit because once it gets into fish it never leaves. LED lighting makes much more sense but the point is moot.

    When would be a good time? Think of the smallmouth fishing that could be found between bull shoals and batesville.

    I said a few posts earlier about taking water from the top of the lake for hydroelectric power. Would that be viable for keeping the tailwaters warm?

    Stay away from the cabins owned by the shrew at gilbert general store. She was VERY unfriendly to us last year.

    could you imagine a float from tecumseh to norfork! That would be awesome.

    Rim Shoals to Ranchette wouldnt be all day but a good float. Rim shoals to buffalo city would be a good all day float.

    I wouldn't either. In fact I like the thought of fishing license sales funding them.

    I agree, the Corps should be obligated to stock the tailwaters. It would be incredibly difficult to privatize the hatcheries. How about letting the state take care of the hatcheries? That makes alot of sense to me. On a side note, why wouldn't it be possible to draw water from the top of the lake and not destroy natural fish populations?

    It figures, a actual government program that MAKES money and they want to cut it. How ridiculous. Privatizing makes alot of sense to me. The local trout docks, lodges, and guides could support the hatcheries very easily.
