  1. jigfest is at buffalo city. your thinking taneyfest
  2. They may have an rv spot available. the cabin we rented is huge though, ya'll could have your own bedroom/bathroom
  3. I know this is one I just wont miss!
  4. This trip was for sure about hanging out with friends than fishing, but it was most certainly a blast
  5. I dont work in the marine sector so I never hear about any of those issues. Everyone I know that has swapped to 4 stroke has been happy with the swap, including me. That being said, I only run yamaha's so that may be why I am so biased.
  6. the high pressure pump on the right is going to be nasty as hell inside. use high powered solvents like acetone and you can get it running like new.
  7. My suggestion is get a 1448 and a 25hp 2-stroke jet of *insert fav brand here*
  8. I talked to the Rileys yesterday. they had two sunk boats, a lost kayak and had to do a water rescue at daylight. Also not seen in that pic at buffalo city is a truck that was parked there and was underwater.
  9. you wont find much info about it online really. its between the brazos and the colorado rivers in texas. Mainly a winter time fishery. the cedar lakes to the west and cowtrap lake have the highest concentration of redfish in the state according to shocking data I found from TPWD. Honestly if you live in south LA its not worth the drive since you have Venice in your back yard.
  10. that does look exactly like my m8000 warn.
  11. Awesome report, thanks for posting. memories like this last a lifetime.
  12. There is a rv park right accross from the ramp in cotter. 870-453-2299
  13. I think thats because trout live in shallower water and dont utilize their swim bladder
  14. Great report as always. how many people were there?
  15. I doubt anyone remembers, but I used to tow my riverboat with a vw TDI beetle. It towed great and got 25mpg towing. really miss that car.
  16. If you have a light boat its not hard to drag up a gravel bar either.
  17. I used to fish with a 18x36" 9.9 mariner and a manual jackplate. You would be amazed where I could run.
  18. i have a 25hp merc jet for sale.
  19. my wife and I took a 18x36 jon boat with a 9.9 from riverton to myrtle in august with no issues.
  20. My only issue would be how fast you can steer, but I think you can get different ratios with them.
  21. I would like to try one too. I have always thought a stick steer trout boat would be perfect.
  22. that would totally work on me.
