I hear they are good, at least the old people talk them up. the best part is the southfork meanders right through cherokee village and hardly anyone knows its the best place around. i intend to keep it that way.
I found out today that my favorite hole on big creek is silted in. must be all that darn gravel mining, or jet boats....or just nature.
whites are starting to move into big creek but today wouldnt eat anything. tomorrow I will try bennetts.
I have not ran big rivers but I have ran bays and the intercoastal waterway, which is alot of the same. huge barges and sand bars that come out of nowhere.
I actually caught quite a few fish on flying lures. they were/are GREAT for getting up under laydowns and docks.
remember the helicopter lure? That one got me as a kid.
with the water we have now I dont see a reason I couldnt take my riverboat down the NFoW if need be, however I havent ever been in a drift boat so I would love to get into one.
