jdmidwest Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 McCain went and sealed the deal today by selecting Governor Sarah Palin as his VP. What a great choice, good values, great ideas, and a proven outdoors person. I believe she stands a good chance to become the first woman president. Just look at her resume, -A leader in everything she has ever done. -Governor of the Largest State in the USA. -Pro-life. -Union member of the working class. -Loves the outdoors. -Wants to solve the energy crisis. -Proven record of shaking up big government. -80 percent approval rating in her home state of Alaska. -Raised in a wholesome family, dad was a teacher, mom worked at school. -Excelled in athletics. -She is young, vibrant, full of conviction and ideas. -Cut taxes and returned money back to the people -Has a son in the military and is proud of it. -NRA life member. -Fishes. -Owns and pilots a float plane. -More and more...................... This is what I have been wanting, real change, real ideas, real people, not politicians, not smoke and mirrors like the others. She makes up for what McCain lacks. Other countries are probably shaking in their boots today, 2 future leaders that will really take on the problems we have now and maybe make them better. Just another great thing to come out of the great state of Alaska. Her credentials far outweigh the other guy that the Democrats put up for President yesterday, what was his name???? Seems like he dropped into oblivion today, although I did hear mention of his hate filled speech last night. And she is only going to be Vice President, second in charge. Trav Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 I am very excited about it as well. McCain has said he is only running for one term. I think we are looking at the first woman Prez! "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson

Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted August 30, 2008 Root Admin Posted August 30, 2008 After hearing her speech today, I'd like to see her and Sen Clinton go toe-to-toe.
Trav Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 people are tired of hillary. If it wasn't for the fact she is a woman, she would have been dismissed. Oneshot, My sentiments exactly buddy. I said I was going to keep my mouth shut about religion and politics, but this is to good to be not true! This lady is all that and a bottle of powerbait! Speaking of which, I am running low, I am addicticted to the stuff. I am up to 5 bottles a day. The habit is getting as expensive as the price of gas! "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. denjac Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 I agree. McCain pulled a rabbit out of the hat. She is also easy on the eyes (thats the pig in me speaking)! Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo. jjtroutbum Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Obama: - "Defaulted" into Senate due to other candidate dropping out of race - Basically started running for POTUS immediately upon entering Senate, only 100 something ish days. Mostly voted "present". No bills or accomplishments to speak of. - Most liberal, leftist senator. Palin: - Worked as councilwoman, then mayor, and eventually Governor for nearly two years. - Has the "executive experience" Obama lacks. - Deals with Russia routinely for commercial fishing disputes, and Canada for transportation issues. - Cut state budget and pork, had surplus of money and started state savings account, all while lowering income and property taxes. - Has the actual "conservative values" most all conservatives seek in a candidate. I think Palin's experience is MUCH more significant than Obama (who has ZERO). Also, Obama is running for THE NUMBER ONE position. While McCain is old, he is healthy, it's possible the VP may have to take over if he should pass - SHE is not running for the NUMBER ONE position like Obama is (again, ZERO experience). I like her and believe she will pick up a few Hillery votes and more importantly is someone that republicans can and will be excited to vote for.
