97procraft Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 I am heading down next week and was wondering how clear the water is? What temps are you finding?
oneshot Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Well we just had Major Rain and flooding so its going to takeawhile to settle down. oneshot
grizwilson Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 The water near the Dam is fairly clear 2 1/2- 3 ft. visible, around the Nemo bridge less than a ft. visable have not been up far on Pomme arm but would guss with the rain muddy. Crappie bite has been pitiful for me, can catch bass on the points off spawing coves swiming grubs, can not drag much as the slimey moss is pretty thick. g “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
conman Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 What stage of the spawn do you figure the bass are in?? I was there last weekend and caught tons of short fish but struggled finding bigger females. Will be back next weekend, any suggestions where to start? Thanks Chris

97procraft Posted May 15, 2009 Author Posted May 15, 2009 Which ramps are closed? I am heading down this weekend. I might as well stay home though, I am not very good when the water is high and muddy.

I was surprised that the water was fairly clear. Visibility was about 5' and a little dingy. We only caught 2 keepers, but had a ton of shorts. We were throwing soft plastics. It didn't matter what brand, style, or color the shorts were hungry.
