snagged in outlet 3 Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Hey Guys Me and a buddy will be down to fly fish Friday and Saturday and we were wondering where to go for a good meal and beer. We won't be wearing waders but we will be coming off the stream Friday evening. Any suggestions? Maybe a good sports bar or local watering hole with good, cheap food? We used to go to the Southtown Grill but it changed hands and the quality dropped. Chime in boys! Thanks you in advance. SIO3

tippett7 Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Dana's is a great place to eat and you will find a lot of fisherman there as well, as it is only a mile from the dam. Get their chili burger. Yuuuuumm
snagged in outlet 3 Posted July 16, 2009 Author Posted July 16, 2009 Where is Dana's? Cold beer? Thanks!
Fishmeister Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Snagged Dana's is just North of the intersection of fall creek rd and 165. There is a BIG church just to the north. They do serve beer, GOOD FOOD!
crazy4fishin Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 I am from Nebraska and I would also recommend Dana's we eat there everytime we are in the area......the O rings are fantastic. The only thing to watch for is that there is so much food that food coma sets in right after eating So I would find a nice place to lay down and enjoy the aftermath. Crazy4fishinA Cornhusker
Greg Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Dana's is awesome. The only drawback is that they are not open on Sundays. A couple of other places we like are Famous Dave's (bbq) on the Landing and Montana Mike's. fly2fish Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 If Danna's is closed try Chesters on the east end of 76 next to Hillbilly motel. Great burgers.
