stone9-7=2 Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Just a quickie. I don't think anyone should be banned,I don't think this topic should be closed but what do I know I'm just a lowley crappie catcher from Lower Bull Shoals. LOL To all the guides that post on here, for what it's worth I hope you keep posting. Ok I'll go back to Lower Bull now.
ozark trout fisher Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Ya know I looked over my comments, Don's, Bill's, Phil's and Joe's, seemed the negativity, name calling and us vs. them came from the other side, ColdWaterFshr, FlyFish69, et al. But, I'm obviously bias Ozark Trout Fisher, I fully expect my clients to use the patterns and techniques I show them, heck if they tell me they are going to fish the rest of the week on their own I will show them more locations to fish if we don't have time to fish them. As for this thread in the words of George Castanza: "I just think he should let the conversation end on it's own volition" Well George Constanza is always right .... Just kidding. In all seriousness, despite what I said earlier, I'm not sure if the topic should be closed. I'm not one who likes forums that are tightly controlled. With that said, it doesn't seem as if this topic is going anywhere meaningful.
focused fishing Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 For the record, I'm not anti-guide and have a couple of friends that guide for a living. I guess I can apologize for the "skirt comment" but I tend to be sarcastic at times. Otherwise I don't feel I made any comments that I don't think are true. We're all entitled to our opinions and those are mine. I actually enjoy a good argument so this has been fun , to those of you still upset over the comments I and others have made.......you're obviously taking this forum a little too seriously!! Lighten up!! I'm not upset......I mean...it's not like you pulled into one of my "SPOTS"..... In the immortal words of Bugs Bunny "Ah, your brother blows bubble gum!" S&M Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Post deleted for the betterment of the members. As well as my membership on this website. How do I deal with those who ignore the 50 yard encroachment rule?......I show them just how accurate I am with a crank bait!
Sam Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 I've never had any wish to follow a guide around - I'd be embarrassed for a guide to see ME fish. Years ago when we lived out in SoCal and my Dad was alive, though, we figured something out. Out there, you'll see some Japanese-American families fishing at the lakes. They'll rent a big wooden motorboat and take their whole family, from grandparents to little kids. It's good to see families doing that together, and ya know what - they sure can fish. Dad and I found if we could figure out how a Japanese family was fishing and do the same, we'd catch a bunch of fish too. They're good. Does anybody know a Japanese-American guide on Tablerock? I'll follow HIM around.
CaptainJoe Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 I suppose your point is that all of us non-guides wish we were in your shoes? I've got some news for you -- I fish for fun, and I enjoy what I do for a living (and it's not fishing). If you're living your dream, that's wonderful. But don't make the arrogant assumption that all the rest of us are jealous. I meant no disrespect, either. I was just responding to your comment that apparently guides do not fish for fun and asked if you have fun, too. Chill out....and thanks for sharing your involvement with kids and the critically ill. I am a dad of Downs Syndome son, so I can kind of relate..... Take care, S&M......it's not me. I said that my mouse was having "hard" time scrolling over your video. I posted on your Public Apology thread that I needed to double check my mouse to see if it is a Minnie Mouse or Micky Mouse....it just might be the guys.....I will keep you posted. CaptainJoe Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Ness, this is for you... no arrogant assumption, just stating a fact, here is the best part.... Wait for it ................................................................................ ....................... Wait for it ................................................................................ . .......... Wait .......................................................
