Guest csfishinfool Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Sea Ray crash So this guy crashed his boat into a point about a mile from Hurricane Deck. Jumped a 2ft tall sea wall, and crushed his boat to hell and back. The boat was worth over a million bucks. I love this sooo much What makes this story even more funny is that the same guy crashed his Hellicoptar into the lake last summer!!!
405z06 Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 stay classy I wish I had a "hellicoptar" (LOL) and a million dollar Sea Ray. Seriously, that costs nowhere near $1M, does it?

Apparently it does, I just looked it up and a 2005 model goes for like 800,000!!! Makes you realize how much money is floating around up at Lake O. There are so many boats this size up there. I wonder if this guys insurance is going up LOL.
Guest csfishinfool Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 BTW I didnt mean to affend you with the mispelling of the word helicopter! Oviously have never been in one, I cant even spell helicopter LOL

My understanding is that law enforcement just has to put something there. I imagine if this thing ran aground (hit seawall?), it's gonna cost WAY more than $20k to fix?
fishinwrench Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Gotta be careful what name you give your vessel.......That one was christened "IMPACT" (no kidding) There was a big twin big-block Scaraab few years back named "Nauti-bouy" that creamed a big flashing "No Wake / No-Anchor" bouy in Millionaire cove. And another named "Fools Paradise" that ran into the gas dock at....guess where ? LOL
Terry Beeson Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 I, like most folks, have problems with spelling. Here's a good resource to help with that.... http://dictionary.reference.com/ I can't say I'm "happy" to see someone lose a boat like that just as I would not be happy to see someone lose an old beat up jon boat or canoe. I interviewed with a company in Camdenton a few years back and had not been to Lake of the Ozarks in years. What I saw made me glad I didn't get that job. The lake is nothing more than a playground for those with more money than... well... I'll stop there. And from what I saw, it's a wonder there are not more accidents of this type. But, if that's what they want, then more power to them. That's why I'll stick to fishing small moving water... TIGHT LINES, YA'LL "There he stands, draped in more equipment than a telephone lineman, trying to outwit an organism with a brain no bigger than a breadcrumb, and getting licked in the process." - Paul O’Neil
Members bourbeusefisher Posted September 14, 2009 Members Posted September 14, 2009 I saw that boat Saturday morin. I was quite funny to see. It looked like a circus with all the boats around checking it out.

I'm with you on that. Haven't been there since I was a kid 30+ years ago, and I haven't heard anything that makes me want to go back. Gimme cool, clear, feces-free water and a canoe loaded with just enough stuff to get by, surrounded by the sound of NOTHING, and I'm good. John
