Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 30, 2009 Root Admin Posted November 30, 2009 Does anyone know how to use this tool. A gentleman wants to tie knots for legs using pheasant tail material.
fishinwrench Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 You take the pheasant tail fibers wrap them around the tool thereby making a loop. Then grab the fibers with the little hook on the tool and pull through the loop. Do not take the fibers off of the quill. Tie the knots while the fibers are still attached to the quill so it keeps them nice and even. Once you get the moves down you'll discover that a small pair of curved forceps (3$) works just as good.
Jeremy Hunt Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Dido that, it's kind of like using a whip finisher for the first time, but it gets easier. Accept the drift.....<>>><flysandguides.comVisit my blog
DaddyO Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Jeremy, I think that you need to do one of your videos showing how to tie the leg knots in the pheasant tail fibers. DaddyO We all make decisions; but, in the end, our decisions make us.
fishinwrench Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Rubber legs work better. I was gonna say that, but I figured there was an aesthetic motive involved.
