Buzz Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 We've already addressed this issue here on the forum. I guess you were still on vacation. I'm not gonna get worried about something that has never made the mainstream news and is nothing more than a blog. Oh BTW, I heard that Rush Limbaugh is going to leave the U.S. if the Health Care Bill passes. Now that would be a great loss. http://www.aolnews.com/nation/article/rush-limbaugh-says-hell-leave-the-us-if-health-care-reform-is-passed/19389808?icid=main|htmlws-main-n|dl1|link4|http%3A%2F%2Fwww.aolnews.com%2Fnation%2Farticle%2Frush-limbaugh-says-hell-leave-the-us-if-health-care-reform-is-passed%2F19389808 If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Buzz Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 What Are We To Make Of This? Nothing more than what it is... BUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 10, 2010 Root Admin Posted March 10, 2010 Cool.... never used the "merge" feature on the forum before. Works good. Thought I'd merge these three topics together since they're of the same subject. Be easier to close it IF it gets out of hand
podum Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 The truth is somewhere between fear mongering (we don't know the recommendations yet) and justified indignation (the threat of federal regulation of successfully managed state resources is frightening). We can probably all agree that the erosion of liberty and states rights seldom happens in one fell swoop. Once the feds involve themselves in the manner speculated about in this article, there will likely be a "creep" into areas that were not intended or thought of. The worst of this is that little attention is being paid to the significant successes of the state fisheries agencies' during the last 50 years in balancing conservation with utilization of fishery resources. I don't like the idea of national politics potentially affecting the management of Missouri's streams. I wish I had more time more than I wish I had more money.
woodman Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Dr. Michael Coffman (Ph.D. forester) was warning about this over 10 years ago when he spoke in Kansas City. Institutions Behind The Greening of America Green Global Dictatorship http://www.fourwinds10.com/siterun_data/government/united_nations/news.php?q=1259955479 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Private ownership of land is a fundamental principle of freedom, enshrined in the U.S. Constitution. Yet, private ownership of land is diminishing, and government ownership and control of land use is expanding. The links in the left column shed great light on why and how this transformation of the American experience is occurring. Some of the documents found here are available nowhere else. These documents are enlightening, and often, depressing. The Ozark Highlands Man and the Biosphere Reserve: A Study of a Failed Nomination Effort In 1996 an almost nine-year effort to establish a Man and the Biosphere Reserve in the Ozark portions of Missouri and Arkansas was abandoned under a storm of public controversy. The Ozark Highlands Man and the Biosphere Reserve (OMAB) was thwarted by local residents who purportedly stood to benefit most from the honorary designation. Amid wild rumors of UN invasions, government conspiracies, and environmentalist plots, some Ozark citizens took the OMAB Steering Committee by surprise, turning the uneventful, drawn-out nomination process into a public battle over competing interpretations of MAB goals, objectives, and consequences. The controversy left officials and citizens alike wondering what happened and why. This research was undertaken to flesh out the issues and examine the events that turned the Ozarks into a hotbed of controversy over MABs, the United Nations, and property rights http://sovereignty.net/ http://s147.photobucket.com/albums/r302/scrawford_photos/
jdmidwest Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Cool.... never used the "merge" feature on the forum before. Works good. Yes it is, but I liked my title, more impact. Yours works too. Thought I'd merge these three topics together since they're of the same subject. So will Obama and all the rest of the government clowns. BTW wonder what the people of Europe first thought when the topic of taking away their guns first came up?!?!
eric1978 Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 The article says leave the country for health care. Yeah, he said he'd go to Costa Rica...where they have SOCIALIZED health care. He's brilliant.
jscheetz Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Al, you just don't get it do you? THEY are coming for you!!!! You and your "sport" fishing buddies!!! Comon man, get with the program! Even though there is no real mention of outlawing sportfishing... you KNOW that is what they mean! It is all part of the plan.... Don't you read the National Review? Soon there will be a knock at your door and young men in Jack boots will be coming in to confiscate your fly rod - it could be next week!!!!!! Ahhhh, good stuff in the morning! (I also heard "they" are going to send us all to concentration camps - so be on the lookout)..... As an interesting aside, it is pretty funny how on this board apparently when you start to type r-a-d-.... the automatic fill-in just goes ahead and fills in "radical environmental groups" - or if you would ever just try to type in "environmental groups" it automatically inserts the word "radical" in front of it..... hmmmmmmm JS "We are living in the midst of a Creation that is mostly mysterious - that even when visible, is never fully imaginable". -Wendell Berry-
