Now I remember why we did not get anywhere the last time we discussed this.

You guys are soooo funny. We went from ribbons, to stickers, to tape, to decals, to bands, to flags, to a BBQ, to an open house, and to night tournaments. I hope I did not leave anything out. :blur:

Flashing gang signs. I think you had everything else. Someone is just going to have to take the bull by the horn (so to speak).

denjac is just silly. Thought he would want us all to use grubs as earings. Just when you think you know a guy!

I would be willing to put the....whatever fozzype said on my motor. Where do we get them?

Nah, you forgot about the discussion of secret recognition signs last time. You stand on one foot, I'll stand on the other, then we both whistle "Yankee Doodle" and throw our ball caps in the air.

:D

Seriously, I'd like to see an O.A.F. marker for our boats so we can recognize each other. I think vinyl (so they'll peel off) stickers on our outboard motor cowlings would be best. We've all got outboards, they stick up above the water, and they're visible even when a trolling motor is laying on the deck or a fishing seat isn't up.

Color? I'm always amazed at how well flourescent hunter orange shows up. Maybe Phil would want to get some weatherproof orange vinyl stickers printed up with "Ozark Anglers" and make them available for a couple bucks each - enough to pay him back for his trouble. I'd sure put one on my rig.

edited to add: I'm thinking about something small, it wouldn't need to be big and gaudy. If stickers are hunter orange, a round dot about 1 1/2" in diameter on each side of the motor could be seen a LONG way off.

Yikes! You said it Joe. I know I have the attention span of a 5th grader, and I'm a scatterbrain; but this has quickly veered off course. <_<

Not to try and steer the ship here; but let's keep our heads in the game guys. Start another thread for other OAF thoughts/activities. Joe's onto something here!

I'd really like to see this get rolling on the ribbon idea. I hate being down on The Rock, only to wave at every boat passing by and think, ".......hhhmmm???..........wonder if that was an OAF member?........"

I concur

I concur that you concur............. (but I really don't get that yellow sauce much up here in toto land.) LOL

I'll put a bright plastic ribbon(orange or pink)on my trolling motor, and see who it attracts......

What if we run into imposters....we then need to have a secret handshake to make it official :=D:

Everyone outfit their boats with a klaxon horn. You know, the old-timey "ahoooga," type. Surely that'd be a pretty unique attribute.

Or just have everyone hang a white handkerchief or something off their outboard. Decorated with whatever insignia you prefer.
