RSBreth Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Possible record Musky Caught and Released... Story from original page, at LarryDablemont'sOutdoors.com And he let it swim away...
Jason Essary Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Now, I think its wonderful that the man released the fish, but I have caught a couple muskies and hundreds of northers while fishing in canada. To me that fish doesnt look over 40". Any one else have any comments? Fly_Guy Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 I can see it being at least 45', but I don't know if it has the weight... the phish in the photo of the current record has the girth as well...
oneshot Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 I sure wish he would have taken a pic with measuring Tape next to it.I sure would have to question it otherwise. But you know how Fishermen never strech a fish. oneshot
Members sportshop Posted April 28, 2010 Members Posted April 28, 2010 im gonna have to agree, dont think that fish will go 40 plus
Gavin Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Dunno...looks like its at least twice the width of his shoulders and a bit more. Not really sure how long it is, but I'd be happy to catch it and take a picture with it.
Members Kevin Vam Dan Posted April 28, 2010 Members Posted April 28, 2010 Jason, I am definitely with you on the size of the fish. I consider myself an avid northern and musky fisherman (only 30 days left for the annual two week trip up north) and there is no way that fish is 54 inches. I would be surprised if it was a 44 inch fish. I by no means post this to take away from the fish. It is a great fish and I would take it any day. But it is not 54 inches and not anywhere close to 40 lbs. KVD
