fishinwrench Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 They don't always hand you the book, but they're usually sitting at the counter wherever you might buy your license. You need a trout stamp on top of your regular license, which I believe is an additional $7. You'll also need a daily tag to fish at any of the trout parks, but the regular trout stamp is good enough for the Blue, Red or White Ribbon trout waters. Just to clarify....You are required to possess a trout stamp (during the regular season) only if you plan to keep any trout.

It's a good idea to have one even if you don't intend to harvest, in case you gut-hook or otherwise mortally wound a fish and need to keep it. Right wrench?

Plus $7 is a very small fee to support an activity that you like to enjoy ---C&R or keeping either way, $7 bucks is cheap fun! Thighlines & Singing Reels
taxidermist Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Maybe it was couple local kids They could have been sent to grandma house and she told them take the rods and go fishing.. easy to make a lot of assumptions, but then maybe everything was on the up and up, sans littering.
fishinwrench Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I wish they were still "stamps". Why can't we have Smallmouth stamps ?
Wheatenheimer Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Those were the days, when we actually had a piece of artwork to lick and stick on the back of our license! I miss it too, Brother!
ness Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Me too. Loved the waterfowl stamps -- I've still got them all in my special stuff drawer. John
Members Brent Posted June 20, 2010 Members Posted June 20, 2010 Wow, they don't give out waterfowl stamps anymore? It's been years since I have been, that's crazy. It would be cool to get fishing stamps, small mouth, trout etc. I guess I wasn't alive when they did that.
Wheatenheimer Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 I guess I wasn't alive when they did that. Whippersnapper!
redbird Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 I love the new bright yellow sticker/stamps. And they are so easy to fold in half and slide in the handy little envelope they give you for your wallet Im not a Cardinals fan, but I am a Cardinal. If you know me you know what that means.
