Where have they gone??? Is anyone seeing any, catching any??

Thanks

Chris

You might try putting in at Pittsburgh landing (RA) camp ground and going up the river arm of the linly to about the 13 mile marker sign. That is where I find them this time of year. But make sure your in the river channel the first 800 yards or so because if the flats are 1 foot deep its hard to get through there but if your in the channel it should be about 8 feet or so. If the flat water is 3 feet or so you can troll all the way down there. and even use the big motor if you want but don't get too carried away.

A bad day fishing or hunting is better than a good day at work anytime!

Come to think of it.....what the? Usually I have to sort through a dozen whites while LM fishing but none of that this year.....strange indeed.

Try way up in the backend flats (2-3 FOW), or run up the tribs where the moving water meets the still water. Cover water fast until you find them, or look for nervous shad. That is the pattern I'm running on L.O. and it is on fire right now.

With the lake down 4' like Trav stated, it will be very touchy trying to get up the streams. There are a few crossovers that may not float a boat if it is very heavy.

All the Pomme whites must have went to L.O.....haha

I can count on one hand the number of white bass I have caught, seen caught or been reliably reported to be caught on Pomme this year. Not counting a few below the dam in the outlet that come up from Truman. There was a kill last fall but it didn't seem to be very large, however this spring there were none up either the Lindley or Pomme arms. There a LOT of small black bass that are having a heyday on small shad.

If you haven't been out on the lake with it 5 feet low take a day and at least drive around it is amazing the stuff you can see.
